“I’m happy Mariah’s there, she’s a singer, she knows how to judge…” #shade
We don’t think J was trying to throw that slug at Nicki Minaj but at the same time, she herself is a singer, like Mariah… It just makes more sense for Mariah to be there…..

The new album arrives 3.19.13 and is heavily produced by Timbaland! JT’s last album “FutureSexLoveSounds” is among are favorite r&b records of ALL TIME! We have so much respect for him, so much regard for his musicianship! Can’t wait!!

The song isn’t being promoted at all. Flyers exist but we’re still waiting on a video and some live performances. Despite that, the song jumps almost 10 spaces on the Billboard Hot 100! This could be an unexpectedly huge hit for Rih!
While the videos for “Pour It Up” and “Stay” are yet to arrive, both songs are doing well in there respective markets an “Unapologetic” remains among the charts top sellers! #RihannaNavy

Yesssss!!! The “Girl On Fire” singer and multiple Grammy winner will perform a melody of her hits at the 62nd NBA AllStar Game! John Legend, NeYo and others will also grace the stage during the game!

YES!!! Ms Carey has recorded a new song specifically for Disney’s new motion picture, OZ! The movie doesn’t arrive until March but the song will be released February 19th! Soooooo excited!! #MimiNation
Mimi’s new album is still under construction but should be here by summer 2013!!

The new album is already in stores “No Love Lost”! Go get it!

Beyonce has started 2013 extremely strong; endorsements with Pepsi and H&M, a documentary with HBO, a new album coming and one of the greatest half time shows ever didn’t hurt things at all! Her music has been flying off the shelf and iTunes since Sunday’s performance!!
Billboard reports the following:
Beyonce’s Super Bowl halftime show has predictably sent sales of her music skyrocketing.
The diva headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime festivities in New Orleans last night (Feb. 3), where she performed eight songs and reunited with Destiny’s Child.
![]() SUPER BOWL WEEKEND! |
Industry sources suggest that in the week ending Feb. 3, Beyonce’s digital album sales jumped by over 230%. Meanwhile, those of her group Destiny’s Child soared by more than 600%. That latter increase is inordinately large as it includes sales of the trio’s brand new “Love Songs” compilation, released last Tuesday. The set features one new recording, “Nuclear.”
The album sales gains are also aided by discount pricing in both the iTunes and Amazon MP3 stores. The former discounted key earlier titles from Beyonce and Destiny’s Child to $7.99 while the latter marked them down to between $5 and $7.99.
In terms of digital song sales, Beyonce’s grew by an estimated 85% while Destiny Child’s rose by over 300%.
Beyonce’s biggest selling song of the week was “Halo,” which closed her eight-song halftime set. The biggest Destiny’s Child song of the week, according to early data, looks to be “Say My Name” (which was not part of the halftime medley). Two Destiny’s Child tunes were performed at the Super Bowl: “Bootylicious” and “Independent Women (Part 1).”
The week’s official Nielsen SoundScan sales figures for Beyonce and Destiny’s Child will be released on Wednesday (Feb. 6). Further impact from the halftime show will be felt next week, after a full seven days’ worth of sales are registered post-game.

We have all the respect in the world for King B and it only grew when we learned of this gesture! She did a great show and exhibited so much character, so much class, true royalty…

In case you somehow missed Beyonce’s half time show performance lastnite!
We loved it but think it could have been so much more then this and ultimately, it’s overshadowed by Madonna’s 2012 performance…
We also were really disappointed that there was no new music…………

“The Mrs Carter Show” is the title of her new World Tour but the name and the imagery could hint at the direction of the album and it’s own name… French royalty is what she’s giving!
B’s also expected to make a special announcement following her Superbowl Halftime Show tomorrow evening! It’s official B season!!

The Young Money mogul has had dreads forever but has finally decided to make change, posing absent the extra hair with Big Boi!
The rappers new album “I Am Not A Human Being” drops March 26th!

The interview is supposedly all about Chris Brown and there “relationship”… It’ll be on the shelf soon as a February issue!

Frank Ocean will be absent due to his injuries in the recent brawl with Chris Brown but Justin Timberlake will take the stage for the first time in 4 years, performing his new single which features hip hop royalty, Jay-Z!

Yes!! The announcement was official made on Jay-Z’ website!
Timb is still signed to Interscope but will now be management by Jay’Z’ imprint along with Rihanna, Beyonce, J Cole, Melanie Fiona and others…
Timb is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on Justin Timberlake’s long awaited and highly anticipated 3rd album “The 20/20 Experience” as well as Keri Hilson latest studio effort, both due this year!!

Lil Wayne is poised to be one of the biggest artist of 2013, with an all new album coming in just a few months!
Our friends at RapUp report the following:
Lil Wayne unveils the cover art for his new album I Am Not a Human Being II. A red insect resembling a butterfly appears against a black backdrop on the unconventional artwork, which was designed by DONDA, the creative content company founded by Kanye West.

Previously due February 19, the follow-up to 2011’s I Am Not a Human Being will now arrive on March 26 featuring the Detail-assisted single “No Worries,” plus contributions from Juicy J, David Banner, StreetRunner, Kane Beatz, and Cool & Dre.
While Kanye didn’t produce on the album, he asked Wayne if he could design the artwork. “I’ma let ‘Ye do what he do. As long as it ain’t nothin’ out the box crazy. ‘Ye is ‘Ye, he’s a genius,” Weezy previously told MTV.
DONDA also designed the artwork for Wayne’s Mike WiLL Made It-produced single “Love Me” featuring Drake and Future. See it below.

We kinda got off on her for how closely her video for “Love&War” mirrored some of Mariah’s past efforts but as you can see, she LOVES Mariah Carey, so do we so we’ll let her make it just this once

FINALLY!!!! We love the song and love the video even more but have one issue…. This looks like deleted scenes from Mariah’s “We Belong Together”, “Don’t Forget About Us” and “H.A.T.E.U”…. It’s cool to pay homage to an artist but this was a little excessive… We know she stans for Mimi, we do to but we hope to see less Mariah in her next video!
Oh and one last note, nothing to do with the video… She needs to take some new promo pics immediately, this was the most appropriate pic we could find to tie to the post…

YESSSS!!! We love the new singe featuring Jay-Z, very progressive, very Timb!
It’s been more then 6 years since JT’s brilliant 2nd album, he’s finally back with more music for us! Our friends at RapUp report the following of the new project:
After debuting his new single “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z on Sunday night, Justin Timberlake has announced more details on his forthcoming album.
In an open letter to his fans, he revealed that the follow-up to his 2006 groundbreaking album FutureSex/LoveSounds will be titled The 20/20 Experience and will arrive this year.
Unbeknownst to the public, he went into the studio last June and startedrecording what would become his third solo project. “It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career,” said the 31-year-old singer, who wasn’t expecting much to come of the sessions.
“What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way,” he wrote.
Read his full letter below.
An Open Letter to you (the fans):
I hope this gets to you the right way. It’s the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I’d rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?
Well… No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. (Did I mention that I’m having fun with this?? Ha!)
*Makes a serious face*
So, here goes:
This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the “grapevine,” I’m gearing up for a big 2013.
Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC.The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.
What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way.
I’m calling it “The 20/20 Experience,” and it’s coming out this year.
I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.
That’s all I’m giving you for now… I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!
Get ready. This is going to be fun (well, at least it is for me).
