“The Mrs Carter Show” is the title of her new World Tour but the name and the imagery could hint at the direction of the album and it’s own name… French royalty is what she’s giving!

B’s also expected to make a special announcement following her Superbowl Halftime Show tomorrow evening! It’s official B season!!

Rihanna Announces “Diamonds” Tour, Is This Her New Album Title??

Posted in ALBUMS, DEF JAM, NEW ALBUMS, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, RIHANNA, TOURS, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on September 8, 2012 by RJDAMONARCH

The tour doesn’t kick off for another 7 months which makes us believe, “Diamonds” is going to be the title of her new album, the one that’ll probably be on the shelf by Thanksgiving.

Rihanna’s a beast, a true worker bee, having released 4 albums in the past 4 years. This new album, tentatively titled “Diamonds” will be made up of the same pop that made her last 3 or 4 projects soooooo successful. #RihannaNavy

Our friends at RapUp report the following:

After opening the MTV Video Music Awards and winning Video of the Year for “We Found Love,” Rihanna keeps the momentum going by announcing dates for her “Rihanna Diamonds World Tour.”

Rihanna’s previous tour, the “LOUD” tour, grossed $90 million worldwide to become the 7th highest-grossing tour of 2011 and included 10 sold-out concerts at London’s O2 Arena.

The pop superstar is reportedly working on a follow-up to her 2011 albumTalk That Talk, which has spawned the hit singles “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been.”

Things happen, there will be over shows but the Coldplay opening was a great opportunity, sure he’ll make it up to them and the fans :) TrueClefMusic LOVES Frank Ocean!!

Our friends at RapUp report the following:

The show won’t go on for Frank Ocean. The “Thinkin Bout You” singer has pulled out of his remaining European festival tour dates and his opening slot on Coldplay’s tour.

He expressed his regret over the decision in a statement released online (viaMTV News).

“Let me start by saying I feel like an asshole right now, but a tough decision had to be made in regard to my schedule over the next months and the casualties of that decision include my appearances at upcoming festivals in Europe and my opening slot on the European leg of the Coldplay world tour,” said the Odd Future crooner. “Sorry as f**k, I’ll be back if you’ll have me.”

The announcement comes just days after Ocean abruptly walked off the stage at Norway’s Oye Festival after performing four songs. A festival representative told the crowd that he “suddenly got sick and lost his voice.”

Following the release of his critically-acclaimed album channel ORANGE in July, he toured briefly in the U.S. and was scheduled to open for Coldplay through September.

J-Lo World Tour!!!

J-Lo is back but I don’t know if she’s back enough for a world tour… Her album didn’t shift millions, despite the success of her runaway hit single “On The Floor”, featuring PitBull. The diva’s 2nd single wasn’t as well received, though her “Dance Again” track, also featuring PitBull is KILLER and the controversial video is creating buzz!

I wish her all the best, TrueClefMusic and myself are in LOVE the iconic, legendary, Jennifer Lopez! She opened so many doors for woman in Hollywood!

SingersRoom reports the following of the World Tour:

If you were turned on by Jennifer Lopez’s latest music video for the single “Dance Again,” get ready for even more excitement. According to reports, the American Idol judge is planning a massive world tour with more than 60 dates, which will kick off in South America in June after Idol wraps.

“J.Lo and her team have blocked out more than a month of their schedules, beginning May 4, to start intense rehearsals, each day, at a sound stage in the Los Angeles area,” a source told Celebuzz. “This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers.”

An announcement surrounding the tour could be released as early as this coming week.

Rihanna Filming “Loud” Tour DVD, Orderd By Def Jam To Rest!

Rihanna’s been going and going ever since she splashed on the scene with “Pon Da Replay” back in 2005. The it girl has released an album every year since her debut and has 11 Billboard #1 singles to show for it. Astounding but it’s the same self destructive pattern that almost tore Mariah Carey apart 10 years ago…

She’s filming her “Loud” tour dvd this month and Def Jam has ordered her to REST! Def Jam doesn’t want it’s prized possession going to pieces. As a result, the promo for “Talk That Talk” is expected to be minimal and no tour is being planned.. Rihanna will take a 6 to 8 month hiatus when promotional efforts for the new album wrap.

Riri’s reportedly been on the phone with Beyonce looking for advise and guidance on how to handle the work load. If you saw the tour dvd for “I Am”, you know how exhausted B was towards the end of the tour, crying and almost coming undone on camera.. Show business ain’t for weak people!

J.Cole, is announcing his first ever world tour kicking off August 23rd in Vancouver.  Titled Cole World…World Tourthe event comes on the heels of his much buzzed about debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story out September 27th.

So…..why would you go on a WW Tour before your album comes out?? That and the fact that he’s a new and extremely under promoted artist is going to make for some disappointing ticket sales.

RollingStone Reviews Rihanna’s “Loud” Tour!!!

Posted in ALBUMS, DEF JAM, LIVE PERFORMANCES, NEW ALBUMS, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, RIHANNA, TOURS, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on June 6, 2011 by RJDAMONARCH

Loud is the perfect name for Rihanna’s summer tour, which kicked off with last night’s sold-out gig at Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena.

Beyond just the volume of the show – which was considerable – the theme prevailed through the set, built around a giant speaker cabinet; the costumes (mostly neon and shiny); and the entire production itself: a gloriously over-the-top spectacle perfectly befitting the singer, who seems to produce chart-toppers by the dozen.

The show began with a blitzkrieg of video, as four hanging, shifting circular video screens joined four giant stationary ones is projecting Rihanna’s arrival. She wore an electric blue mini-trenchcoat and hot pink stilleto boots with neon green heels and immediately belted out her Number One hit, “Only Girl (In the World)” from her 2010 album, also titled Loud.

Visit NeonLimelight.com and RihannaPhotos.org to view hundreds of fan pictures from the first show.

Before the audience could catch its breath, the singer had tossed the trench, revealing a day-glo bikini, picked up a gang of matching day-glo-covered back-up dancers and shifted directly into “Disturbia,” another Number One hit, this one from 2007′s Good Girl Gone Bad – and then seamlessly segued into another hit, 2007′s “Shut Up and Drive,” replete with back-up dancers dressed as crash-test dummies bashing a neon-graffiti-covered car with bats.

Over nearly two hours – a very long set for such a busy production – Rihanna maintained a relentless pace, working her way through 24 songs, six different wardrobes and endless set changes, all without any significant energy dip. The deft production included several built-in musical and video interludes – including a staggering number of guitar solos – to keep from going dark during the changes.

One of the most impressive spectacles was a very erotic S&M-themed mini-set, launched with a fairly faithful cover of Prince’s “Darling Nikki,” during which Rihanna, dressed in a tuxedo and toting a cane, spanked, groped and pretended to smack three nearly nude female dancers. By the time she had transitioned into Loud’s “S&M” – another Number One hit – Rihanna’s tux had been stripped off to reveal a white bondage corset and she was wearing handcuffs. Nearly nude men and a female audience member were added to the mix before the whole thing ended (cutely) in a pillow fight.

In a military-themed mini-set including 2009 hit “Hard,” Rihanna rode in atop a double-barreled pink tank that shot T-shirts into the crowd, flanked by sexy-soldier costumed dancers with pink rifles. When “Breakin’ Dishes” segued into “Glamorous Life,” the singer barreled to the back of the arena, where she rode a platform revealing Sheila E-style stand-up drums and played an impressive solo.

Soon, she was on to outfit six – a gold lamé mini-dress – and her encore, which moved from her Number One hit with Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie,” to her Number One hit with Jay-Z, “Umbrella.” It was understated compared to the rest of the show – with only a squadron of tuxedoed back-up dancers and a blizzard of pink confetti – but it was impressive that she was still singing and dancing at such a pace. It was a even more remarkable that there were still more huge hits left to play. She did each one proud.

Even after wrapping up the I Am Music II tour with Lil Wayne,Nicki Minaj will continue to travel the world now that she’s been confirmed as the opening act for Britney Spears.

As previously reported, rumors were swirling that the Young Money mistress would join Spears on a series of tour dates to replace Enrique Iglesias.

Nicki remained coy about the situation however and would neither confirm nor deny the rumor.

Now TMZ reports that lawyers for both Spears and Minaj have settled on a negotiation that includes Nicki and the pop princess when the tour kicks off June 17 in Sacramento, CA.

IT’S OFFICIAL!!!! I’m going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna be great for both parties. Nicki is going to bring a group of fans to the show that likely wouldn’t have come out otherwise. We all love Britney but some have trouble admitting it, like she’s a guilty pleasure but now EVERYONE can see the show!

This is also great for Nicki as many of her not black fans will get to see her live along side one of the biggest pop stars on the planet!!! It’s gonna be an extremely mixed crowd on this tour and I’m gonna b all up in it at the Houston show!!!

Nicki Minaj is in discussions — but not confirmed — to supportBritney Spears on the latter’s upcoming tour, after Enrique Iglesias abruptly pulled out hours after the tour was announced, sources have told Billboard.

Minaj is currently on the road with Lil Wayne on his I Am Still Music tour. Spears’ tour begins June 17 in Sacramento. Tour promoter Live Nation and representatives for Minaj could not be reached for comment.

Hours after a Spears-Iglesias tour was announced on Tuesday (Mar. 29), Iglesias pulled out of the summer trek, reportedly due to the perception that Iglesias would be opening for Spears instead of co-headlining the tour with her. Although Spears has expressed interest in adding Usher to the tour, the R&B star is highly unlikely to join the trek, as he is managed by Randy Phillips who also helms AEG Live, producers of Spears’ last tour and very competitive with current promoter Live Nation.

“Femme Fatale,” Spears’ seventh album that was also released on Tuesday, is expected to reach No. 1 on next week’s Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj’s debut album, “Pink Friday,” has moved 1.3 million copies since its November release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Enrique’s b**** a** should be so lucky to be OPENING  a Britney Tour. She’s about 10 times the star he is and he NEVER would have seen an audience that big or revenue that sickening for a show with just him. People don’t do Enrique like that… He’s got soe radio hits but this is Britney Spears, an icon! No matter, Nicki is a better fit and will bring even more buzz to the show. I’m GOING!!! I hope Nicki takes take job!

Adele Set To Top Billboard With “21″, Forced To Play Larger Venues This Summer!!!

Adele may not like her newfound popularity but that isn’t stopping fans from demanding her. The British soul songstress, who kicks off her U.S. tour in May, was recently forced to change several dates to bigger venues to keep up with demand after her shows sold out in minutes.

On June 1, her show in Seattle, Washington will move from the intimate Showbox hall to the bigger Paramount, which seats more fans. She has also moved a show in Los Angeles on June 9 to the larger Palladium and added extra dates in New York.

Adele who hates playing larger venues recently admitted, “I can’t do arenas because I’m not (Lady) Gaga.”

’21,’ the latest release from Adele, is expected to debut at No. 1 next week on the Billboard 200 chart. The set is expected to shift 275,000 to 300,000 copies by week’s end on Sunday, Feb. 27.

Adele Readies VH1 Unplugged Premiere, Talks Relationship on 21 UK R&B songstress Adele’s soul-stirring “VH1 Unplugged” performance is set to debut on online at Unplugged .VH1.com on Thursday, March 3, at 7PM and on VH1 on Friday, March 4 at 11PM. The set includes “Someone Like You,” “Don’t You Remember,” “Chasing Pavements,” “Rolling In The Deep,” and Carol King’s “Natural Woman” made popular by ArethaFranklin.

Adele’s sophomore album, 21, has topped the charts in the UK and will make its U.S. billboard charts debut on February 22nd. While touring in the United States, Adele found inspiration in southern roots for the groundbreaking LP, which is “all about one guy” — an ex-boyfriend, of course.

“It’s the only thing that fascinates me,” Adele, 22, tells USA Today. “I can’t write about other people’s relationships; I’m not passionate about them. I could write about my mum, but she’d be mortified.”

“It was my first grown-up relationship,” she continues. “When you do what I do for a living, you’re put in a sort of bubble, and he burst mine, which was amazing. Everything we did, we did together. Everything I did, I did for him.”

I love her!!! Me and Elizabeth are going to her show in Austin this summer, can’t wait to hear those vocals live. I didn’t know she was a songwriter also, that makes her all the better, an even greater artist. Luv u Adele!!!
