Adele will not be taking an extended hiatus after all. In an interview with French radio network NRJ this week, the “Rolling In The Deep” singer confirmed the fact that fans can expect new music by year’s end.

“New song probably coming out at the end of the year,” Adele told NRJ. “If I didn’t write songs, I’d be out next week with a new album. But because I write my own songs, I have to take time and live a little bit.”

While she hopes to have a new song out by the end of the year, Adele has no plans on releasing a full album until 2013 or possibly 2014.

“There was a good two years between my first and second albums so it’ll be the same this time,” she added.

I can wait, I’m a little burned out and while the British diva is talented the vocal and song writing comparisons to Billboard’s Queen, Mariah Carey need to stop…

Multi-platinum selling songstress Adele is ready to continue building on the success of her ‘21’ album with her next single – “Set Fire to the Rain.”

Originally, it was expected that the next single would be “Rumour Has It,” but her label decided to capitalize on the huge success of “Set Fire to the Rain,” according to Billboard.

“Our research found more programmer preference for ‘Set Fire to the Rain’,” says Columbia Sr. VP/promotion-adult formats Pete Cosenza. “Both ‘Rumour’ and ‘Fire’ came back strong, but ‘Fire’ was a bit stronger.”

He continues, “It’s a better plan to go with ‘Fire’ over ‘Rumour’ at pop and adult radio. Everyone, from radio to the buying public, seems to be on board.”

To date, “Set Fire to the Rain” has already peaked at #72 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single will go for radio adds at adult pop, adult contemporary and triple A on November 21st, followed by a push to pop radio in December.

Recently, Adele underwent surgery due to a vocal cord hemorrhage. The British singer is expected to make a full recovery.

I’m cool with the song and frankly, the album is crammed with single options but I was really hoping the next radio submission would be “I’ll Be Waiting”, arguably my favorite song from the LP!

Adele really went in on this album, one of the best of the year, she’s a shoe in at the 2012 Grammy Awards for all the top honors!

Adele Continues To Kill The Game, Scored “21′s” Second #1 Single & Makes Billboard History!!!

With Adele‘s leap from No. 19 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week with “Someone Like You,” the singer achieves the biggest jump to No. 1 in the chart’s 53-year history that wasn’t spurred by the release of a single.

Every other larger vault to No. 1 in Hot 100 history came as a result of a single arriving to the market. That includes the chart’s greatest jump, Kelly Clarkson’s 97-1 leap in 2009 with “My Life Would Suck Without You” or what was the tally’s biggest climb until 2002: the Beatles’ 27-1 rise with “Can’t Buy Me Love” in 1964.

“Someone,” on the other hand, zoomed to No. 1 thanks to buzz generated by Adele’s MTV Video Music Awards performance on Aug. 28. The song, her second No. 1, was released to digital retailers on Feb. 22 as a track on her XL/Columbia “21″ album, which arrived the same day.

“Someone” sold 275,000 downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan, in the week ending Sept. 4 (up 191%). Its huge sales increase came courtesy of the song’s water cooler-worthy performance on the most-watched VMAs in history. On the show, Adele sang the heartbreaking ballad on a darkened stage, accompanied by a sparse piano.

ASTOUNDING!!! The british soulstress is having a great, going to sweep the Grammys next year! “21″ is a triumph, an album that easily stands up to Beyonce’s “4″ and landmark albums from r&b and soul musicians like Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys & Amy Winehouse..

If you haven’t picked up the album, COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

YESSSSSS!!!!!!!! Real music is still popular music! The english soul siren takes the top two highest pinnacles this week at Billboard. Her album “21″ crowns the top 200 and her mega single “Rolling In The Deep” demotes Katy Perry’s “E.T” to become the #1 song in the nation!!!

I’m soooooo proud of Adele! I’ve become a HUGE fan over the pass few months! “21″ is a thundering testament of her song writing genius and vocal prowess! Push through Ms Adele!

Adele Covers RollingStone & Talks About Meeting Beyonce!!!

Adele continues her media publication assault, this time around covering the upcoming issue of Rolling Stone Magazine. The British songstress continues to make history on the UK albums chart, recently logging her 11th week at number one with her latest effort ’21.’ The set is also the No.1 album on the Billboard 200 this week.

Some excerpts from her feature:

Curvy and confident… “My life is full of drama and I won’t have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like. I don’t like going to the gym…I like eating fine foods and drinking nice wine. Even if I had a really good figure, I don’t think I’d get my t**s and a** out for no one…I love seeing Lady Gaga’s boobs and bum. I love seeing Katy Perry’s boobs and bum. Love it. But that’s not what my music is about. I don’t make music for eyes, I make music for ears.”

Stage Fright… “I’m scared of audiences. One show in Amsterdam I was so nervous I escaped out the fire exit. I’ve thrown up a couple of times…Once in Brussels I projectile vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don’t like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot.”

Channeling Her Idol Beyonce… “I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack. Then she popped in looking gorgeous, and said, “You’re amazing! When I listen to you I feel like I’m listening to God…I went out on the balcony crying hysterically, and I said, “What would Sasha Fierce do?” That’s when Sasha Carter was born.”

On her ex-boyfriend… “He was artistic, but not romantic. We’d just bicker over a cup of tea or the fact that my lighter wasn’t working…He made me an adult and put me on the road that I’m travelling on.”

Awwww, bless her lil heart. She was so starstruck by B but who wouldn’t be lol.

Adele is one of the best writers/singers to emerge in a very long time, immense talent and just beautiful. She’s gonna f*** the Grammys up next year!!!

Sultry singer-songwriter Adele has been riding the platinum wave lately. Hits Daily Double just announced that her most recent project ’21′ is set to surpass the million mark next week. The album is also going to reclaim the No. 1 spot on the HITS sales chart.

But Adele is no stranger to platinum-selling albums. Her debut album ’19′ will hit the over one million this week.

Adele is gonna MURDER the Grammy’s next year! “21″ has shown so much light on her earlier work which is why “19″ is selling almost as well as it’s more mature successor. I love her voice, her lyrics, she’s killing the game right now and has raised the bar for other British r&b reps like Amy Winehouse, Mr Hudson and Adele!

Adele ” 21″ Official Album Review!!!

I’ll start by saying that I don’t own a copy of “19″ but after listening to “21″, I borrowed the first album from friend. I’m really impressed by this young women’s artistry and I have to acknowledge that she is without a doubt one of the brightest…

The album oozes soul, r&b, folk, adult contemporary and her voice is beautiful. The lines between the very different genres are blurred here. Great productions sown together with her raspy, soulful voice seats “21″ next to peers like Amy Winehouse’s “Black To Black” and Chrisette Michele’s “Epiphany”!

Highlighted Tracks:

* Rolling In The Deep

* I’ll Be Waiting

* He Won’t Go

* Rumor Has It

* Someone Like You

“Rolling In The Deep” ultimately is what got my attention, encouraged me to listen to the album and made me a fan. The power, the tone and the texture of her voice is sooooo inspiring. I love this song and I love Adele!

“I’ll Be Waiting” harks back to the 60s and gives me Amy Winehouse more then any of the other tracks. It’s a beautiful, strong anthem of undying love.

“He Won’t Go” is another song I can’t just listen to once. I’ve spun it about 5 times, sitting here in Starbucks writing this review. “Someone Like You” is another one like that, hits hard, home and almost drew a tear or 2. Such honesty…

The whole album is so mellow but somehow still powerful, a statement, a testament to how much she’s grown as a songwriter, a singer and overall as an artist.

Let’s add it all up!

Adele Debuts At #1, Shifting 352,000 Units!!!

Adele storms in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart with her sophomore album “21″ selling a mighty 352,000 copies in its first week according to Nielsen SoundScan.

It’s her best sales week — and highest charting album — and also the highest frame for any album since the sales week ending Nov. 28, 2010. That’s when Kanye West‘s “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” and Nicki Minaj‘s “Pink Friday” started in the Nos. 1 and 2 slots, respectively, with 496,000 and 375,000.

Notably, “21″ also bows atop the Digital Albums chart with 217,000 downloads — 62% of the set’s overall first week. Again, it’s the fattest week for a digital set since West’s “My Beautiful” moved 224,000 downloads in its premiere.

Adele, who took home the best new artist Grammy award in 2009, reached No. 10 with her debut set “19.” It has spent a total of 71 weeks on the tally and has shifted 948,000 copies in the U.S. This week, it bounds 50-16 on the Billboard 200, giving the singer a pair of albums in the top 20. It’s the first time an act has placed their first two releases concurrently in the top 20 since Justin Bieber did it on June 5, 2010 with “My World” and “My World 2.0.”

This week, “Rolling In the Deep” — “21′s” first single — vaults 13-7 on the Digital Songs chart, moving 151,000 (up 26%). To date, since its release to retailers on Nov. 30 of last year, it has sold 621,000.

Adele Set To Top Billboard With “21″, Forced To Play Larger Venues This Summer!!!

Adele may not like her newfound popularity but that isn’t stopping fans from demanding her. The British soul songstress, who kicks off her U.S. tour in May, was recently forced to change several dates to bigger venues to keep up with demand after her shows sold out in minutes.

On June 1, her show in Seattle, Washington will move from the intimate Showbox hall to the bigger Paramount, which seats more fans. She has also moved a show in Los Angeles on June 9 to the larger Palladium and added extra dates in New York.

Adele who hates playing larger venues recently admitted, “I can’t do arenas because I’m not (Lady) Gaga.”

’21,’ the latest release from Adele, is expected to debut at No. 1 next week on the Billboard 200 chart. The set is expected to shift 275,000 to 300,000 copies by week’s end on Sunday, Feb. 27.

YESSSS!!!! The album is genius! She may have been unknown before but that voice and those lyrics weren’t meant for the world, she better get with the program! Me and Liz will be going to her show in Austin this summer, hopefully it stays in the smaller, intimate setting. I prefer watching live shows that way.. The album is on the shelf now, COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Adele Readies VH1 Unplugged Premiere, Talks Relationship on 21 UK R&B songstress Adele’s soul-stirring “VH1 Unplugged” performance is set to debut on online at Unplugged .VH1.com on Thursday, March 3, at 7PM and on VH1 on Friday, March 4 at 11PM. The set includes “Someone Like You,” “Don’t You Remember,” “Chasing Pavements,” “Rolling In The Deep,” and Carol King’s “Natural Woman” made popular by ArethaFranklin.

Adele’s sophomore album, 21, has topped the charts in the UK and will make its U.S. billboard charts debut on February 22nd. While touring in the United States, Adele found inspiration in southern roots for the groundbreaking LP, which is “all about one guy” — an ex-boyfriend, of course.

“It’s the only thing that fascinates me,” Adele, 22, tells USA Today. “I can’t write about other people’s relationships; I’m not passionate about them. I could write about my mum, but she’d be mortified.”

“It was my first grown-up relationship,” she continues. “When you do what I do for a living, you’re put in a sort of bubble, and he burst mine, which was amazing. Everything we did, we did together. Everything I did, I did for him.”
