With 31.6 million albums sold, Spears ranks as the 16th-best-selling album artist since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991.
In that span, Spears places fourth among women, trailing only Mariah Carey (53.2 million), Celine Dion (51.1 million) and Shania Twain (34 million).

That’s pretty damn impressive! I’ve got some high hopes for this new album. Got a feeling that her single may be #1 next week, which would make her the only other artist to have multiple debut #1′s other then Mariah Carey (3 times) and the first to have them back to back. She had her first #1 debut last year with “3″!
