I love the concept and that they did this but “It All Belongs To Me” doesn’t match “That Boy Is Mine”… It’s solid though, hopefully the fans like it…

Peep the new song below:

After months of recording, Monica is closing the door on her anticipated album “New Life.”
Updating fans via Twitter Tuesday, the “Until It’s Gone” singer said “New Life” will be turned in to label officials Friday.
“Feelings tucked away now, LOL headed to the studio. Album will be turned in Friday NO MORE changes,” Monica said early Tuesday.
As reported last year, Monica returned to the studio after releasing the singles “Anything (To Find You)” and “Until It’s Gone” to record new material, canceling an announced November release for “New Life.”
Now, it appears Monica is secure in what will become her next chapter, including an unexpected collaboration with Brandy. Titled “It All Belongs To Me,” the first collaboration between the two since the Grammy Award winning “The Boy Is Mine,” will be released February 6.
“New Life,” the album, is due in stores March 6.

YES!!!!!! I jus t know this song is going to be wassup, the Monica and Brandy fans are going to eat it up!
Monica previous released 2 singles from the album but neither caught on at radio so Clive Davis, Chairman of J Records ordered her back to the studio! Hopefully this album is more like 2010′s “Still Standing”, one of the best r&b presentations in recent memory.
The new album is coming this March, good luck Mo!

Monica recently announced that she and the label want to take a minute to restructure the project, I.E, record some hot sh** since the songs she sent to radio and made videos for aren’t making moves.
I know she’s got it in her, “Still Standing” is one of the best r&b albums I’ve heard in a while so I know with a little more time she can give us a single that’ll ignite urban radio like 2010′s “Everything To Me”!
As of right now the album has been pushed back to February 21st, 2012!

Eager fans that were waiting to get their hands on a copy of Monica’s upcoming 7th studio album, ‘New Life,’ will have to wait a little longer. The R&B songstress recently announced the delay of the project, insisting she needs to “restructure.”
“I wanna thank u for your love, dedication & support. RCA & I are restructuring the entire plan for the album & the entire movement,” Monica writes on Twitter.
Keeping fan’s spirits alive that the album will be released in the future, she adds: “All is STILL IN MOTION…I Love u guys… NEW LIFE coming soon, pls continue to request Until It’s Gone at radio & video outlets. Be Blessed.”
On ‘New Life,’ which has already issued the singles “Anything (to Find You),” produced by Missy Elliot and “Until It’s Gone,” Monica plans to re-visit the early part of her career, including 1995 single, “Why I Love You So Much,” to capture the feeling and sincerity for her new music.
The project will also creatively reflect the musical, professional and personal growth Monica has recently experienced, including being a mother of two and new wife of L.A. Lakers star, Shannon Brown.
News of the project’s delay come on the heels of pregnancy rumors, but for now, that’s just rumors.

I’m not surprised.. Niether of the singles are doing sh** at radio or on the chart. She should have delivered a stronger video for “Anything To Find You” and “Until It’s Gone” should never have seen the light of day. Niether singles match her strongest from “Still Standing” and that’s the real problem here…
Hopefully she’s going to hit the studio and record some material that matches that of the previous album. With no reality show or breakout hit like “Everything To Me” this album would have tanked! Smart move Clive!
Whether a possible pregnancy played a role in the push back in un-confirmed but once I find out, I’ll let you know!

I like the video but I don’t like the song… The first single and video also left me wanting more. As of right now, this album is going tobe a tough sell. Shame, because her last album was such a gem! Maybe she’ll surprise me…

The video is coo but I wish she had depicted the lyrics of the song instead of all the cameos and outfit changes… We get Monny, u can dress, you a bad b**** but I needed this video to be much more then it was, actually made me like the song a little less…
The good news is, the album is coming in November, meaning that we’re going to get to hear more music and at least one more video before the album drops 11.8.11!!

The new album will be on shelves 11.8.11 and follows 2010′s “Still Standing”, one of the best r&B albums in recent memory! I’m really anxious to see what she’e been working on and i’m hoping this time J Records pump more promo dollars into the project.
The last album only had 2 singles promoted with videos, which is ridiculous given that the album was littered with single choices. “Here I Am” would have been one of her biggest records but the label squandered the material…. Same thing happen to Mariah back in 2009…
The official video is set to premiere Monday!

Grammy winning songstress Monica recently revealed a November 8th street date for her 7th studio album ‘New Life.’ With production from the likes of Missy Elliot and Polow Da Don, the set is lead by the first single “Anything (to Find You,” which the R&B diva just shot a video for.
On ‘New Life,’ Monica plans to re-visit the early part of her career, including 1995 single, “Why I Love You So Much,” to capture the feeling and sincerity for her new music. The project will also creatively reflect the musical, professional and personal growth Monica has recently experienced, including being a mother of two and new wife of L.A. Lakers
star, Shannon Brown.
“This is a new life for me,” Monica tells HipHollywood. “It’s not just the title of the CD, it’s really the place that me, my kids, all of us are at.”
Monica previously stated that fans should expect “about a lot of different subjects, whether it’s love, heartache, happiness, family.”

I can’t wait for the new album!
2010′s, “Still Standing” is one of the best r&b albums in recent memory, so of course I have some pretty high expectations for the follow up.
The single does hark back to the OG Monica, love her!

I LOVE IT!!!!
This is the first thing we’ve heard from Monica’s upcoming album “New Life”, due this October! She’s a vet and one of the baddest in the game! Can’t wait to see a video for this song… She worked with Missy and Polow Da Don heavy on this album so we can expect no tracks with HipHop’s reigning first lady, Nicki Minaj…

The success of Monica’s last album has J Records eager to get her back on the charts and radio. “Still Standing” is one of the best r&b presentations I’ve heard in a LONG time, a true match for albums released by her extremely talented label mates; Alicia Keys and Jazmine Sullivan!
The new album will feature production by Missy Elliott, Polow Da Don and others. She’s using much of the same team assembled to create her last album!
To be perfectly honest, I really wasn’t a huge Monica fan until “Still Standing”! I’m still pissed at Clive for not promoting “Here I Am” the right way, would have been the biggest song of her career!
Anyway, we should be hearing a new single in as little as a month, maybe less! Monica is BACK!

Finalllllyyyyyy!!!!! This video should have hit the net a month ago, she’s lost MUCHO momemtum but the song is great and the video is fire, she shouldn’t have a problem keeping this album campaign moving, especially if “Here I Am” is the next single. That would have been a better second single but you know I don’t work for her… Great song, and really a great album! If you don’t own it already, COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!
Yessssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Monica’s finna really slay the game, “Here I Am” is gonna solidify her claim to the baddest chick on J Records! At this point she is serious competition for her label mates, Alicia Keys, Jazmine Sullivan & Leona Lewis. Her album is one of the most listenable and well written I’ve heard in a very long time and ”Here I Am” is the best song on the project but she’s got plenty of options for single #3!
Sooooo proud of her, can’t wait to see the new video!
Peep an interview with Monica talking about the album below:
Yessssssssssss!!!!! I was really surprised at her, listenable and well written. This is one of the best female r&b efforts since Keri Hilson’s “In A Perfect World”!
TrackListing:
1. Still Standing
2. One In A LifeTime
3. Stay Or Go
4. Everything To Me
5. If You Were My Man
6. Mirror
7. Here I Am
8. SuperMan
9. Lover All Over Me
10. Believing In Me
The pink tracks are the one’s that made it to the iPod, more then half of the songs on the album! I’m very impressed with her and I’d imagine Clive Davis and J Record’s execs are just as pleased.
Vocals: 4
Production: 4
Writing: 5
Listenability: 5
TrueClefMusic Rating: 4.50
With “Still Standing”, Monica’s earned her place amongst J’s extremely talented female lineup. Alicia Keys, Jazmine Sullivan, Leona Lewis and others. COP IT IMMEDIATELY

Monica’s new track is the absolute business! I like it so much I’mma have to download it tonight and glast it on the way to work tomorrow. This is just the track her fans and the game has been needing from her. I’m so glad she finally worked with a producer then brings the best outta her. Very Good Monica!
New album coming this summer!
