This man makes great music, is an artist for the people and honestly one of the best rappers to do it…EVER!!! His sexuality is his business… Get some… That’s trueclefmusic’s take on the whole situation.

Rap superstar Kanye West has blasted online gossips for continuing to speculate about his sexuality, insisting his manhood should “never” be questioned. The Stronger hitmaker, whose engagement to fashion designer Alexis Phifer ended in 2008, has long been dogged by rumors he is secretly gay. Having previously slammed the “disrespectful” claims, West is furious about new rumors his relationship with model Amber Rose is just for show.

In a rant on his online blog, he writes, “I know my life is the Truman Show for everyone to judge and comment on but I’m not doing a reality show. I’m not doing anything ‘for the camera’!
“I have some ego problems, b**ched out at award shows, have control issues and make some questionable fashion choices but never question MY manhood. This is a message to everybody out there!”

This female is what the game needs more of. Imagine Amy Winehouse minus the crack with a some Sade vibe that comes partly from her appearance. She’s beautiful and her vocals are soulful and deep. She is Motown’s newest and the album, “The Bridge” should be available sometime this year. After viewing a extended interview and album preview on her myspace I can say that she’ll be recieved well and welcomed by the people. Hope Motowns learned how to market and promote there artist. She’s a jewel. Click the image above to watch the vid via her myspace page. Add her!

Everything you wanna know about Melanie is below:

Don’t ask her to define it. Singer/songwriter Melanie Fiona’s debut album The Bridge reveals a sweet push-and-pull between countless elements of herself. At once Canadian and Caribbean, strong and sexy, contemplative and joyous, blending the sounds of pop and soul. Despite the many moods and musings of Melanie Fiona’s debut, there is one defining element. The girl’s got soul.

“The album is called The Bridge,” enthuses Fiona. “It crosses the barriers between ethnicities, genres, age groups, and genders. It can’t be defined as just one thing. It’s got a soul that’s something old, yet something new.” The album reflects the duality that asserts itself in Melanie Fiona’s own exuberant personality. Flirting with the traditions of classic soul from artists like Sam Cooke, Nat King Cole and Gladys Knight, the songs also pack the punch, and authenticity of modern music. United by a singular passion, Melanie Fiona’s sound bridges past and present with an artistic and consistent blending of classic soul samples. It’s all held together by a unique quality, something that is innately her, much like the other artists she mentions as influences: Bob Marley, Sade, and Patsy Cline.

Born to Guyanese immigrant parents and growing up in a music-filled house in the inner city of Toronto, Fiona knew from the very beginning that music is what moves her. “My mother, who shares my love for music, played everything from The Ronettes to Whitney Houston around the house as I grew up. My father would let me sit on the stage while he rehearsed with his band as a guitarist. ”

That strong sense of family translates to the team she’s now surrounded herself with, including Carmen Murray and Michael Michel of Title 9 Productions and managers Jay Brown and Tyran “Ty Ty” Smith of Roc Nation “I am so fortunate that I had people to educate me and show me that development as to what it really is to be an artist.”

Though Fiona had been writing her own songs for years, the introduction of songwriter Andrea Martin, would prove seminal for The Bridge. “When I met Andrea, it was an instant connection,” she explains. “We developed this very personal working relationship where we were both inspired by each other.” Sharing each other’s life experiences, they collaborated on some of the defining songs in the collection. Other producers on the album include UK producers Future Cut, Florida’s Vada Nobles, LA’s The Stereotypes, NYC’s J. Phoenix, Peter Wade, and Salaam Remi, Andrew Wyatt, Rob Fusari, and Angela Hunte. Fiona also shows off her Caribbean roots on Reggae Gold 2008, with Supa Dups’ “Somebody Come Get Me”.

“This experience will never happen for me again,” she muses. “I’ll never be a new artist again. I’ll never be a complete and utter student of the game.”  Whatever may come when The Bridgereleases on Steve Rifkind’s SRC/ Motown Universal Records in Spring 2009, Fiona is poised and ready. “I still live humbly out of a suitcase, and I appreciate the smallest things in life, and I want people to feel that. I have an opportunity to be on a stage, but I want my listeners to know that I’m just like them.”

So I heard this song today when I was doin something cuttin up… The message made my eyes tear and made me think twice about what I’m doing… So much is going on in my life right now and those lyrics hit home like that was my first time hearing them. It’s about 3:30 in the morning and I just watched the video for it and cried some more lol, just a little. This song will never get old or lose it’s relevancy. Don’t go chasing water falls, please stick to the rivers and the lakes that your used…

Mariah in the studio with Big Jim Wright!!!!

Big Jim Wright worked with Mariah on tracks like “Circles” “Bliss” “I wish you Knew” “Fly Like A Bird” and “Lead The Way”… His return to the studio with M means tracks like these on her 2009 album code name “MC3”. Byran Michael Cox who produced “I Stay In Love” and “For the Record” will also be scheduling some studio sessions with the diva

Some interesting twitter post from Jermaine Dupre also suggest that he’s been in the studio with her working on a song called “100 Percent”. Dupre did most of the production on E=MC2, her underwhelming but platinum 2009 release…

I want her to work with Kanye too “Stay The Night”. Can’t wait for this new album!!!

If you don’t know already: Trueclefmusic cuts for Mariah Carey above almost any other artist. Expect more post in the future reporting random MC3 album updates. I love her!

Beyonce, Britney & Billboard!!!

So….. with the return of Britney Spears to the game, radio and the charts the public has begun understandably comparing her to resident Queen B…Beyonce. As of right now it’s pretty much a draw. Where one lacks the other excels: Britney’s a better dancer, while Beyonce can sing circles around her…

There albums both shifted 505,000 copies in there first chart weeks but the metrics have changed since then… Below are the current chart positions for both divas:

“I am Sasha Fierce” – #9 Billboard 200

“Single Ladies: – #30 Billboard Hot 100

“Halo” – #28 Billboard Hot 100

“Diva” – #38 Billboard Hot 100

Britney Spears:

“Circus <album>” – #22 Billboard 200

“If U Seek Amy” – #26 Billboard Hot 100

“Circus <single>” – #17 Billboard Hot 100

Both Beyonce and Britney’s first singles have dropped out of the top 50, “If I were a Boy” and “Womanizer”

As you can see Beyonce’s album is still selling strong at #9 despite backlash from some fans and bits of the media. Britney’s album is way back at 22 but her singles are performing much better then Beyonce’s…”If U Seek Amy” is probably going to crack the top 10, if not become her next #1 hit, while I don’t see “Diva” or “Halo” performing those feats for Beyonce…

Both divas are on the road right now. Britney is packing arenas and selling out stadiums all over the states while Beyonce cleans house in Canada and Europe. At the end of the year I’ll be able to see more finalized sales for there albums, know what there singles did and the concert revenue can be tallied. Can’t wait!

Jamie Foxx and Keyshia Cole’s albums debuted on the same day but he’s selling well…right under Beyonce at #10 while Keyshia is chilling at #26. Maybe she come harder with this next album…

Kanye sits happy at number #18 after “808s and Heartbreak” debuted way back in November, very good Mr. West!

Kelly Clarkson has the number one album in the country with “All I Ever Wanted” seizing the top spot!

The Dream lands at #4 after debuting at #2 a couple of weeks ago…

Rihanna proves to be perhaps the biggest chart diva since Mariah Carey at #49 after 144 long weeks on the chart…going on 3 years.  4 or 5 number one singles off “Good Girl Gone Bad” alone. That’s a BAD chick right there!

Columbia Changes the Locks on Kelly Rowland

Posted in DEF JAM, KELLY ROWLAND, MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, RUMORS, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , on March 31, 2009 by JupiterDaTruth

This is so sad. Just months after cutting Matthew Knowles loose and changing management Kelly has been dropped from her label. Columbia stated that she is no longer commercially viable but rumor has it Def Jam has already made her an offer and her people are in talks with Geffen Records as well…

She won’t remain a free agent for long. Kelly Rowland’s been in the wrong hands since Beyonce’s solo career took off. Matthew hasn’t had her best interest at heart in a long time…
