I’m gonna go out and cop it this week. Robin’s one of the best R&B male acts in the game right now but he’s never been a good promoter. I wonder whose he’s signed with..

Mary’s new album is projected to shift around 300 to 350 thousand copies, a fata** sells weak by this year’s urban music standards. With artist like Rihanna, Mariah, Alicia Keys and Chris Brown only selling fractions of there previous albums first week, 300 thousand is certainly a blessing.
Mary’s last album “Growing Pains” charted a first week of 600,000 plus back in 07. MJB has a habit of releasing an album the week of Christmas, a habit she picked up and has been cuttin up with since 2005’s “Breakthrough”(700k+)…
Rihanna got off to a slow start with “Rated R” but the album has been consistantly selling around 180 copies each week since release. The radio success of “Hard” has enabled this and I’m proud of her but hustling as hard as she has been these past couple months to promote this album!
If you have it, you know it’s arguably her best album yet. She’s finally becoming an artist. COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!
Album sales of of this week:
*Week 1: 293.000
*Week 2: 161.000
*Week 3: 154.000
*Week 4: 196.000
Busta Rhymes has had a year to remember. As previously reported, after the release of his Back On My B.S. album, he was hit with a $75,000 lawsuit for assault.
Now leaving the B.S. behind in 2009, he’s preparing toreintroduce the world to his home team of rap lyricists.
While not releasing specific details Busta revealed that he was in studio with what he calls a “new Flipmode.” He tweeted about his new squad to his 130,000 plus followers saying:
“The new flip mode is in the studio right now!!!!!! Stay tuned!!!!!”
Particularly excited about the resurrection, he also made sure to add.
“Damn when I tell you the new decade 2010 is gonna be frightening, mark my word!!”
The FlipMode Squad are best known for there 2002 hit with Busta and Mariah Carey, “I Know What You Want”. I always wondered what happened to them, glad Busta hasn’t forgotten FlipMode! New music in 2010!!!
Mariah fans and the press alike have been attacking The Dream because of Mariah’s extremely low album sells.. The Dream should be praised for helping produce one of THE BEST Mariah Carey albums in her catalog! “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” is arguably better then “The Emancipation of Mimi” and rivals albums like “DayDream” and “Butterfly”.. The Dream is one of the best things to EVER happen to her production. The whole album is a credit to his talent. If people would listen to it before they judge it they would know that…
Some ignorant a** Mariah fans have been coming for my man on Twitter. He’s posted the following replies:
If anything Mariah should be blamed for this albums sells stats.. She back burnered the whole project to promote “Precious”! This album should have been pushed even hard the her last 2.. She, nor her fans can blame ANYONE but Mariah Carey.
It’s coo though, she’s fixing it. The re-release should put her exactly where she needs to be. Featuring roles by Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo, R Kelly, K-Ci&JoJo and more almost insure this album will FINALLY get the recognition it deserves!
