We’ve been in love with his voice and his writing since “Sure Thing”, he’s a MONSTER on the penz, kinda gives the male version of Keri Hilson, so talented, so sincere!

Our friends at SingersRoom report the following:

R&B crooner Miguel will follow the formula from his 3-part ‘Art Dealer Chic’ EP for the release of his upcoming sophomore album ‘Kaleidscope Dreams.’

Starting July 31, the BET Awards winner will release the first volume entitled ‘Dream: Water Preview EP,’ which will include the previously released “Adorn,” as well as “Don’t Look Back” and “Use Me.” The second volume, ‘Kaleidoscope Dream: Air Preview,’ will arrive September 11, while the final full-length release, Kaleidoscope Dream, which will include songs from the two EPs plus five new songs, will arrive October 2.

“I believe dreams represent the purest form of fantasy we unleash through our subconscious,” says Miguel in a statement. “They represent the truest freedom we can experience. Totally unrepressed and totally creative.”

The project will boast production from Salaam Remi, Pop & Oak, Jerry Wonda and more.

Nelly Talks New Album, FloRida Beef & Relationship With Ashanti!!

Posted in ALBUMS, ASHANTI, HIPHOP, Nelly, NEW ALBUMS, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on July 28, 2012 by JupiterDaTruth

Nelly’s an old favorite of ours.. We’ve loved his music since day one, totally different from everyone else, though he’s had his imitators (Chingy), most of them have faded away, while he remains!

Apparently there’s been talk of a beef with relatively new artist, FloRida whose flow is unquestionably Nelly enthused and influenced… Nelly also spoke on new music and his ongoing relationship with former r&b princess, Ashanti!

Our friends at Rap Up Magazine report the following:

Nelly has had a busy week. Following his appearances on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” and Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live,” the St. Louis rapper visited “The Breakfast Club” on Power 105.1 to promote his Chris Brown-assisted single “Marry Go Round” and upcoming CW show “The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep.”

He spoke candidly about the ups and downs of his 13-year career, addressed a rumored beef with Flo Rida (“There’s enough room for everybody”), and dished details about his upcoming seventh album M.O., which will arrive in the fall. In addition, Angela Yee grilled the hitmaker on his relationship with Ashanti (“Me and baby girl, we’re real cool”).

Find out what went down when Nelly was in the hot seat.

On his relevancy in hip-hop: “I’ve only had one record I didn’t have a number one record on. The last record I put out, I had a number one record. I sold five million records, put out six singles… I think everybody in the entertainment industry feels the effects when the economy do what it do.”

On the changing music industry: “It’s definitely a young man’s game and it’s about veteran’s survival. You get to a point where it’s just about turningpages. When you old, not as in age, but old as in you been in the game for a minute, like 12-plus years, it’s been a long time.”

On the pressure of staying on top: “Nothing continuously excels. It’s called a career for a reason. You got your ups, you got your downs. But as long as you’re around, that’s the thing.”

On rumors that Flo Rida’s “Get Low” single was for him: “No, it wasn’t my song. I never actually heard the song. This is the thing because people always try to do that. I got no issues with Flo, the business is what the business is. [But] dude acknowledges that he f**ks with Nelly.”

On Flo Rida copying his style: “How do you look at that in a negative manner? You had an effect on someone that was able to come in and make a mark in music. It’s all good. I don’t see it as there not being enough room for everybody. Like I said, I’m working on 13 years, you know it’s a beautiful thing.”

On his relationship with Ashanti: “I always comment on what I’m doing, now when you comment on who I’m dating and all that, that’s something that seems to be more important to everybody else than to me. So I know who I’m dating, I know what’s going on. Me and baby girl, we’re real cool. I don’t think anything’s going to change until me and her decide that we want to change it. But everyone thinks that it’s my decision that we say what we say. It’s a mutual respect, it’s a mutual decision that we made.”

On Ashanti “claiming” him: “Did she ever claim me? Where at? What show was that? Did she say something different on the radio? If it is, play it for me. Let me hear it.”

On his next album M.O.: “You try to give people what they come to love of you, but also try to reinvent yourself at the same time. So that’s the twist in survival in this music game. It’s full of energy. I definitely think people are going to be real surprised about the joint.”

Frank Ocean On Coming Out “I Wish I Had Someone To Look Up To”!!

Posted in ALBUMS, DEF JAM, FRANK OCEAN, HIPHOP, NEW ALBUMS, NEW ARTIST, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, R&B, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on July 21, 2012 by JupiterDaTruth

We can’t get enough of Frank Ocean! The depth of his actions over the past couple weeks are unknown by the mass media, by many ppl, except the young black gay dudes that felt like they HAD NO ONE TO LOOK UP TO, like they were alone! We are so grateful for Frank, his contribution and his sacrifice! #ThePioneer

RapUp Magazine report the following:

Frank Ocean is speaking out for the first time since coming out. The Odd Future star explains why he decided to publicly address his sexuality.

Ocean penned a letter earlier this month in which he revealed that his first love was a man. “[It was] about my own sanity and my ability to feel like I’m living a life where … I’m happy when I wake up in the morning, and not with this freakin’ boulder on my chest,” he told the Guardian Guide for a story in Saturday’s edition.

He made a conscious decision to go public with it right before his album was released. “I knew that I was writing in a way that people would ask questions,” he said. “I knew that my star was rising, and I knew that if I waited I would always have somebody that I respected be able to encourage me to wait longer, to not say it till who knows when.”

The 24-year old “Pyramids” singer, whose album channel ORANGE debutedat No. 2 in the U.S., longed for a role model of his own. “I wished at 13 there was somebody I looked up to who would have said something like that, who would have been transparent in that way,” he said.

Although most of his peers have been supportive, Ocean is not worried about what may come from his revelation. “People are just afraid of things too much,” he said. “Sure, evil exists, extremism exists. Somebody could commit a hate crime and hurt me. But they could do the same just because I’m black. They could do the same just because I’m American.”
