“Rated R” resurrected, gritty, sexy and unmistakably the “IT GIRL”!!!

I love this album, reminds me so much of the harder sh** she was on back in 2009, more hiphop pop type sh**. “Loud” was a return to form, the “GGGB” formatting that made her such a success back in 2007 but “TTT” is…..deliciously different!

I thought we’d never see this Rihanna again, shoulda died her hair blond again so we’d know wassup, she and this album are the answer!!!

Highlighted Tracks:

1. Cockiness (Love It)

2. We Found Love

3. Talk That Talk FT Jay-Z

4. Drunk On Love

5. We All Want Love

These are the tracks that have been on heavy rotation, best the album offers.

“Cockiness” has Billboard top 10 written all over it, sexy and provocative, radio is going to EAT IT UP! By far my favorite track on the whole album!

“We Found Love” is beautiful, Billboard’s reigning #1 single we can’t seem to get enough of and the video that’s got us jumping!

“Talk That Talk”, the title track is like “Rudeboy” meets “Run This Town”. Jay-Z is perfectly placed but under-utilized, I wanted to hear another verse from him. It’s definitely going to be a single and likely Jay’s next hit. Hope they remix it and add T.I or Kanye, more of a good thing!

This album is something new, neither I or the people are tired of the “it girl” just yet. It’s Rihanna’s time, keep giving it to us boo!

Drake “Take Care” Full Album Review!!!

Beautiful, surprising, refreshing and brilliant, not quit the mixtape that got him signed but it’s from the same place..

This album is a breath of fresh air, the best I’ve heard from him on his own in years!

Highlighted Tracks:

1. The Crew FT The Weekend

2. We’ll Be Fine FT Birdman

3. Make Me Proud FT Nicki Minaj

4. Over My Dead Body

5. Marvin’s Room

Those are the best tracks on the album, the ones I can’t stop spinning but “We’ll Be Fine” is my absolute favorite, one of his best ever!

He’s almost matchless on the pens but his honesty is unparalleled.. He holds nothing back in his writing, really speaking his whole heart, that paired with seamless production and asst from some of the industries brightest (Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, BirdMan, The Weekend) all make this album one of the best I’ve ever reviewed.

I doubted him, was really disappointed, underwhelmed with “Thank Me Later” but this is Drake, stripped, transparent, sincere…

Kelly Rowland “Here I Am” Official Album Review!!!

I came into this review with a great deal of expectation but somehow Kelly managed to completely blow me away from start to finish!

This album is solid, brilliant and was well worth the years of wait, all the time it took for Kelly to arrive at this point for her to truly be here! “Here I Am” is genius!!

HighLighted Tracks:

* I’m That Chick

* Feel’n Me Right Now

* Motivation

* Keep It Between Us

*Turn It Up

These songs all made it to my iPod and given that the album only has 10 tracks, 5 highlights is remarkable! This is an incredibly listenable project! Kelly worked hard and I believe it’s going to really pay off!

“I’m That Chick” is FIRE! It DEFINITELY should have been the 2nd single! Hopefully her label switches gears and scrapes the Big Sean assisted “Lay It On Me” for this song or “Turn It Up”, a daring club banger that had me up out of my seat dancing and shouting “YESSS KELLY, YESSSSSSS”!!! It’s perhaps the strongest song on the album!

I knew months ago when my girl at Def Jam sent me “Motivation” via email that it would be a monster hit for Kelly but I never imagined it would totally transform her career like it has.. She’s gone from a D List, washed up, written off mite in Beyonce’s massive shadow to a formidable opponent on stage and in studio for King B! “Here I Am” easily matches Beyonce’s “4” in the arenas of production, listenability and writing. Of course B’s vocals are way out of Kelly’s league but it’s very clear at this point that vocals aren’t a deciding factor in this game. Beyonce’s material is dead at radio and Kelly’s Lil Wayne assisted “Motivation” just resigned the #1 spot on the Billboard R&B/HipHop Songs chart, after more then a month under the crown! “Motivation” has become her “We Belong Together”, her smash comeback record! This album is a testament to her musicianship and true artistry. I’m veryyyyy proud of her.  Here she is.. COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Beyonce “4” Full Album Review!!!

Posted in ALBUM COVERS, ALBUM REVIEWS, ALBUMS, BEYONCE, NEW ALBUMS, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, R&B, RNB, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , , on June 28, 2011 by JupiterDaTruth

I thought she’d reached the mountain peak and there was no where left to climb… I was wrong…..

“4” IS BRILLIANT, GENIUS, TRIUMPHANT!!!

Highlighted Tracks:

* I Miss U

* Start Over

* Countdown

* Party

* End Of Time

* Rather Die Young

These are the songs that I can’t stop spinning but the whole album is seamlessly Beyonce, a Beyonce I thought didn’t exist anymore. She’s SANGING, growling and belting out those trumpet like vocals like it’s 2006 again! I was pleasantly surprised by how well written, well produced and performed this album is. It’s 3 times what 2008’s “I Am” was and EXACTLY what I thought that album should have been..

The songs sound sooooooo much better in sequence with each other. Even “Run The World (Girls)”. “4” is everything!

Beyonce has effortlessly did it on em. Rihanna’s “Loud” and Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” are bested. Beyonce matches Britney & Adele, who both made iconic testaments to there respective genres. Beyonce and Adele will likely do battle at the 2012 Grammy Awards for “Album of The Year”…

I’m concerned….

This is the first album she’s released that hasn’t been spearheaded by a runaway hit single… That said, “4” is going to be a tough sell to anyone that hasn’t downloaded it already. The Beyonce stans are going to come out in the hundreds of thousands to support there Queen and she will need them more then ever now.

Management has changed and B is consequently in the wrong hands, hands that don’t know what to do with such an artist. This would be the biggest album of her career if Matthew Knowles was still running sh**. Beyonce’s created a complete masterpiece but I fear what happened to Mariah back in 2009 with “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” is going to happen to her.

The project hasn’t been presented correctly and if the public doesn’t get a single they can connect with soon the project is going to render her lowest sells figures to date and likely be labeled a flop despite it’s brilliance.

Nevertheless, this is the Beyonce album I’ve been waiting for since 2007!

I can’t stop spinning “I Miss U”, made me cry the first time I heard it… “Start Over” is THUNDEROUS and honest, one of my favorite Beyonce songs EVER!

“Rather Die Young” and “End of Time” make my list of favorites too!

Some would call me one of Beyonce’s harshest critics, even a “hater” but even I must bend my knees and kneel at the alter of her talent, musicianship and the sheer iconography of this album.. This is the emancipation of Beyonce, a triumphant return to form. COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

TrueClefMusic Embraces Marsha Ambrosious, Apologizes For Hasty Album Review!!!

Posted in ALBUM COVERS, ALBUM REVIEWS, ALBUMS, MARSHA AMBROSIOUS, NEW ALBUMS, NEW ARTIST, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on May 20, 2011 by JupiterDaTruth

So I’m big enough to apologize for a huge mistake. When I first heard Marsha’s debut album, “Late Night and Early Mornings” I panned the set, dismissing her vocals as cheap Chrisette Michele impersonation and the writing as left over Alicia Keys/Lauryn Hill material but after spending hours under the headphones and in the car with this beautiful album I can appreciate it for what it is, a great debut from a very unique artist with a very different set of vocals.

Marsha has a style similar to artist like Alicia Keys, Chrisette Michele and Jazmine Sullivan but her sound is all her own and I sincerely apologize to her and the fans for one of the harshest reviews I’ve ever given any artist. I gave her a 2.25 out of 5 and I’m adjusting that now to a 3.25. The album is a solid debut, could’ve have been much better but it’s not the mess I depicted it to be all those months ago. Luv u Marsha 🙂

Britney Spears “Femme Fatale” Full Review!!!

Posted in ALBUM COVERS, ALBUM REVIEWS, BRITNEY SPEARS, NEW ALBUMS, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on April 1, 2011 by JupiterDaTruth

Iconic, brilliant, genius, epic, stunning, WOW! “Femme Fatale” is the best presentation from Britney Spears thus far and she will likely spend the rest of her career chasing the artistry (yea, I said it) artistry achieved here. Leggo!

HighLighted Tracks:

* Til The World Ends

* Trip To Your Heart

* Inside Out

* Criminal

* Gasoline

* Big Fat Bass

* Drop Dead Beautiful

I almost can’t remember the last time all the songs from one album made it to my iPod. The album is comprised of genre bending, gritty pop hits, any of which could have been the first single… “Femme Fatale” is spilling over with single options. I see JIVE wanting to promote most of them and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw videos for 4 or 5 of the songs (not common for a Britney project).

I adore the whole album but my all out favorite song is “Trip To Your Heart”. This song is spinning long after I’ve hit pause, one of Britney’s best EVER!

“Til The World Ends” should have been the first single and it would have debuted at #1 just like “Hold It Against Me” <<<<<one of the weaker songs).

“Criminal” is so mature, so not like Britney. It reminds me of one of those novelty songs you hear during a Quentin Tarantino film,  #genius!

“Inside Out” is a r&b song and I don’t care what anyone has to say about that. That song could have easily been on Keri Hilson or Ciara’s recent albums and blended right in. It’s so hard, almost as hard as “BlackOut’s”, “”Give Me More”… #brilliant

“Big Fat Bass” is gonna f*** the clubs up if JIVE decides to send it to radio! Will.I.Am did the damn thing on this song and Max Martin is A BEAST!!!

“Drop Dead Beautiful” is so high energy! Britney is loose on this record and actually bust a lil flow, caught me off guard but I love the song!

The entire album is surprisingly well sung, at least in comparison to past material. Britney’s displaying a confidence vocally that I’ve never heard. She really went all out here and gave this project every drop of her. That fact is vivid and I believe her hard work will pay off come award show season. B might even take home a couple Grammys!

The Verdict:

Not only does this album make 2008’s “Circus” sound like a weak debut but it makes recent projects from Rihanna, Katy Perry, Beyonce and Lady Gaga sound half baked, unpolished and poorly arranged.

“Femme Fatale” is one you can play all the way through and that can’t be said for ANY of the albums presented by the 4 artist mentioned above. “Femme Fatale” is the emancipation of Britney Spears! The distinction between Pop Princess and Pop Queen has just been defined!

Chris Brown “F.A.M.E” Official Album Review!

Posted in ALBUM COVERS, ALBUM REVIEWS, ALBUMS, CHRIS BROWN, NEW ALBUMS, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , , on March 22, 2011 by JupiterDaTruth

So……. I spun this album for the first time expecting “The Emancipation of Chris Brown”, a mega album crammed with r&b gold, much like his hit “Deuces”  and “No Bullsh**” or heavier hitting, grittier tracks like his Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne assisted “Look At Me Now” but what I got was “Graffiti”….

This album is NOT AT ALL what the singles and promo have led you and I to believe but that doesn’t mean Chris hasn’t delivered a solid follow up.

Highlighted Tracks:

* Deuces

* Look At Me Now

* Wet The Bed

* No Bullsh**

I remember back before Nicki’s album came out, the mass media and her naysayers all thought “Your Love” and “Check It Out” were the best of her but when the album hit the shelves we knew she was much more. “Your Love” is hardly the strongest song on that debut and the material that she had recorded was actually better then the singles we had heard up to that point. That’s what happen with “F.A.M.E” but in reverse… The singles Chris has sent to radio are the best the album has to offer. The other material is “good” at best but not great, not epic, not fire like we all were expected. I thought Hurricane Chris was coming…. This was suppose to be his “B’Day” but there won’t be anything special at all about “F.A.M.E” come March 22nd 2011. The fans will spin it and the vast majority of them will be either put off by how pop/commercial the music is or slightly disappointed that the r&b King he’s become over the past 6 month was just for promo sake…

How are you going to have Lil Wayne and Busta on the same album with Justin Bieber??? #FOOL!

“Beautiful People” is a decent song but it won’t make it to my iPod, none of the songs will, aside from the singles that I’d download previously. His next single will likely be “Wet The Bed” Ft Ludacris. That song will do well at urban radio but it’ll only reinforce the lie Mr Brown and his label has been selling since last summer… “Raymond vs Raymond” is a better album.

“F.A.M.E” isn’t bad but it’s not good either, it’s just okay.. There’s nothing special about the vocals, production or writing outside of the singles we’ve already heard. Most of the production is all over the place and most of the filler tracks sound like sh** that’s already on the radio courtesy of other artist. When is Chris going to make his “Thriller” album???
