TrueClefMusic Counts Down Beyonce’s Top Performances!!

Posted in BEYONCE, LIVE PERFORMANCES, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, R&B, RNB, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM, VIDEO LIBRARY with tags , , , , on September 4, 2012 by JupiterDaTruth

In honor of Beyonce’s 31st birthday, TrueClefMusic is counting down her most memorable performances (6 total). We’ve been wanting to do this for a while but given that today is her birthday, we had to get off our a**** and make it happen!

This is arguably the most important performance of her career. The MTV VMAS is huge and this was the first time she took the stage alone to perform her double hit singles, “Crazy In Love” and “Baby Boy” opposite her then boyfriend Jay-Z.

This was the first time we saw her stage presence come ALIVE and the first time we acknowledged the fact that….THE B**** CAN SANG!!

Live at the Grammy’s with Prince, the icon himself.. These subliminally sent the message to the fans, the media and the game as a whole that Beyonce wasn’t like the other h*** that just released there debut albums.. She was different, Prince and many others came out in support of Jay-Z sanging a** girlfriend.. This kind of subliminal messaging continues even today in Beyonce’s career. Icons twice her age will acknowledge her as an equal.. MattK is a genius and this is truly won of her best live performances featuring another artist!

This is the best “Dangerously In Love” performance in existence. It’s from The Beyonce Experience, one of the best tours ever to take the stage, Beyonce at the height of her industry dominance and create genius. The visuals presented here, the emotion.. Amazing performance, iconic!

Some of y’all may never have seen this one. “Ring The Alarm” live on The View, best performance of the song on record! That VOICE, the fearlessness!

YESSSS!!!! This is one of our all time favorites! Beyonce was at the height of her popularity, showing out and GOING IN at the VMAS!! We can’t get enough of the “Single Ladies” dance!

Y’all knew it was coming, the best Beyonce performance of ALL TIME! “Deja Vu” live at the 2006 BET Awards is matchless! NO ONE could hold Beyonce after this performance, not a damn body. This was the performance that had the world standing up and shouting like the SuperBowl was on! B went HAM!

That’s our list, hope you enjoyed the read and the performances. Happy birthday to Beyonce, a true item of iconography!

Jeremih Booed & Covered With Concertgoer Drinks After Lip Sync’d Performance!!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Hilarious!! If you not Mariah Carey or Britney Spears, the fans WON’T accept a clearly not live performance! I love my n**** Jeremih though, beautiful voice, heard him sing live before. He was probably just tired!

It didn’t help that he showed up for the show 2 hours late.. The audience was already drunk and irritated with him.. Some concertgoers even doused the singer with drinks after they realized that they were being lied to……….

Kid Cudi would jumped into the audience and started whoop’n a** but Jeremih’s a professional, learned his lesson I’m sure…

RollingStone Reviews Rihanna’s “Loud” Tour!!!

Posted in ALBUMS, DEF JAM, LIVE PERFORMANCES, NEW ALBUMS, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, RIHANNA, TOURS, trueclefmusic, TRUECLEFMUSIC.COM with tags , , , , on June 6, 2011 by JupiterDaTruth

Loud is the perfect name for Rihanna’s summer tour, which kicked off with last night’s sold-out gig at Baltimore’s 1st Mariner Arena.

Beyond just the volume of the show – which was considerable – the theme prevailed through the set, built around a giant speaker cabinet; the costumes (mostly neon and shiny); and the entire production itself: a gloriously over-the-top spectacle perfectly befitting the singer, who seems to produce chart-toppers by the dozen.

The show began with a blitzkrieg of video, as four hanging, shifting circular video screens joined four giant stationary ones is projecting Rihanna’s arrival. She wore an electric blue mini-trenchcoat and hot pink stilleto boots with neon green heels and immediately belted out her Number One hit, “Only Girl (In the World)” from her 2010 album, also titled Loud.

Visit NeonLimelight.com and RihannaPhotos.org to view hundreds of fan pictures from the first show.

Before the audience could catch its breath, the singer had tossed the trench, revealing a day-glo bikini, picked up a gang of matching day-glo-covered back-up dancers and shifted directly into “Disturbia,” another Number One hit, this one from 2007′s Good Girl Gone Bad – and then seamlessly segued into another hit, 2007′s “Shut Up and Drive,” replete with back-up dancers dressed as crash-test dummies bashing a neon-graffiti-covered car with bats.

Over nearly two hours – a very long set for such a busy production – Rihanna maintained a relentless pace, working her way through 24 songs, six different wardrobes and endless set changes, all without any significant energy dip. The deft production included several built-in musical and video interludes – including a staggering number of guitar solos – to keep from going dark during the changes.

One of the most impressive spectacles was a very erotic S&M-themed mini-set, launched with a fairly faithful cover of Prince’s “Darling Nikki,” during which Rihanna, dressed in a tuxedo and toting a cane, spanked, groped and pretended to smack three nearly nude female dancers. By the time she had transitioned into Loud’s “S&M” – another Number One hit – Rihanna’s tux had been stripped off to reveal a white bondage corset and she was wearing handcuffs. Nearly nude men and a female audience member were added to the mix before the whole thing ended (cutely) in a pillow fight.

In a military-themed mini-set including 2009 hit “Hard,” Rihanna rode in atop a double-barreled pink tank that shot T-shirts into the crowd, flanked by sexy-soldier costumed dancers with pink rifles. When “Breakin’ Dishes” segued into “Glamorous Life,” the singer barreled to the back of the arena, where she rode a platform revealing Sheila E-style stand-up drums and played an impressive solo.

Soon, she was on to outfit six – a gold lamé mini-dress – and her encore, which moved from her Number One hit with Eminem, “Love the Way You Lie,” to her Number One hit with Jay-Z, “Umbrella.” It was understated compared to the rest of the show – with only a squadron of tuxedoed back-up dancers and a blizzard of pink confetti – but it was impressive that she was still singing and dancing at such a pace. It was a even more remarkable that there were still more huge hits left to play. She did each one proud.

Sounds like she had a great first show, I still won’t be buying a ticket though LOL! I wish she’d take a note from new bestie Nicki and her tour mate Britney Spears and LIP SYNC FOR HER LIFE ::RuPaul voice::… No one wants to hear her sing these songs live!

Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls)” Billboard Performances STOLEN!!!

Many were impressed when Beyoncé thanked fired Destiny’s Child members LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson in her Billboard Music Awards acceptance speech Sunday night when she received the Millennium Award. But her acknowledgments included a major omission: Italian singer, dancer, actress, and television host Lorella Cuccarini, who appears to have inspired Beyoncé’s show-stealing performance of her new song “Run The World (Girls).”

In February 2010, Lorella took the stage at the 60th Sanremo Music Festival in Italy and delivered a show before a white screen and digital accompaniments that has drawn undeniable comparisons to Beyoncé’s Billboard Music Awards performance.

As Lorella danced, the backdrop was filled with computerized birds, a bouncing ball, a red staff, a set of wings, a series of drums, and an army of choreographed clones, all of which also appeared in Beyoncé’s set.

The variations between the scenes in common are minimal. When watching the performances side-by-side, it feels as though Beyoncé’s team used Lorella’s show as a template and personalized it by merely changing out some of the details. Not only does Beyoncé use some of the same scenes Lorealla used, but they fall in the same sequence.

Beyoncé’s set opens with the roaring head of a tiger. Then like Lorealla’s, an entry way appears. Next, both ladies receive a set of flapping wings. Beyoncé dances in front of an array of random, abstract images before a sea of birds descend from the top of the frame. As she continues to dance, she is eventually joined by background dancers made in her likeness. She catches a set of virtual drumsticks and plays the snares that materialize onto the projection in the same spiral fashion as in Lorealla’s video.

Kenzo Digital, who spent a month creating Beyoncé’s interactive video, said Lorealla concert footage is only part of the inspiration for Beyoncé’s show. “[The Cuccarini artists] are awesome and do incredible work as well, but there are a lot of different inspirations for where our piece came from,” he told our Amplifier blog.

While it is clear that Beyoncé used the same visual concept as Lorella, Kenzo makes a valid point: both performances contain numerous unique qualities.

Lorella’s four-minute routine was a tribute of sorts to American pop music that included pieces of Gwen Stefani’s “Holla Back Girl,” Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel,” Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way,” and Peggy Lee’s “Fever.”

Beyoncé also brought two live male background dancers on stage with her, and followed the electronic set with 100+ live female dancers.

Reaction online has been mixed. “This is why I will always value her as a great performer, but never as an artist,” rocknox wrote on YouTube. “Why are you going to perform a sampled song, and sample a performance too?”

But ShortStuff528 came to Beyoncés defense. “Has Beyoncé claimed this performance as her idea? Who’s to say it was Beyoncé who sought out the people responsible for the original? Maybe they wanted to work with her. Every artist constantly copies. Michael Jackson copied James Brown, Jackie Wilson, breakdancers, Marcel Marcequ, and many magicians that he witnessed. … Beyoncé gave credit to Fosse even before ‘Single Ladies.'”

Still, Beyoncé owed Lorella a mention during her speech. For Beyoncé’s “Run The World (Girls)” video, she pays respect to theTofo Tofo dancers from Mozambique who inspired the opening dance sequence by featuring two of the members in the clip.

A representative for Beyoncé had not responded to Yahoo! Music’s request for a quote at press time. A spokesperson for the Billboard Awards offered no comment.

WOWWWWWWW!!!!! Of course, why did I think she was capable of something so different. Beyonce is officially the most unoriginal artist recording popular music!!!

The only thing that would have made the show hotter aside from pre-recorded Rir vocals would have been a “Fly” performance with Nicki Minaj, would have been BANANAS!!!

Adele Readies VH1 Unplugged Premiere, Talks Relationship on 21 UK R&B songstress Adele’s soul-stirring “VH1 Unplugged” performance is set to debut on online at Unplugged .VH1.com on Thursday, March 3, at 7PM and on VH1 on Friday, March 4 at 11PM. The set includes “Someone Like You,” “Don’t You Remember,” “Chasing Pavements,” “Rolling In The Deep,” and Carol King’s “Natural Woman” made popular by ArethaFranklin.

Adele’s sophomore album, 21, has topped the charts in the UK and will make its U.S. billboard charts debut on February 22nd. While touring in the United States, Adele found inspiration in southern roots for the groundbreaking LP, which is “all about one guy” — an ex-boyfriend, of course.

“It’s the only thing that fascinates me,” Adele, 22, tells USA Today. “I can’t write about other people’s relationships; I’m not passionate about them. I could write about my mum, but she’d be mortified.”

“It was my first grown-up relationship,” she continues. “When you do what I do for a living, you’re put in a sort of bubble, and he burst mine, which was amazing. Everything we did, we did together. Everything I did, I did for him.”

Let me just say that her voice is AMAZING!!! Every time the industry tries to seat Mariah Carey  she reminds us all why her numbers are what they are, why she’s iconic, why she’s got one of the largest fanbases int he world and why we fell in love with her in he first place. I haven’t heard her sing like this since the “Charmbraclet” Tour way back in 2003. The vocals displayed during the show are 100% live. A few TrueClef fans were able to make the taping and can vouch for that statement! That said, no other chick recording music today can touch these performances. I’m soooooo proud of Mariah and hope this is just a preview of what vocals her next studio album will house! Oh I almost forgot, COP MERRY CHRISTMAS II YOU IMMEDIATELY!!!

I lover her to death! “Long Way Down” is classic Keyshia, LOVE IT!!!! I’ll always be a fan of an artist that’s able to write from the heart like this.

2008’s “A Different Me” received mixed reviews and I for one thought it was much weaker then “Just Like You” which is one of the best r&b records of our time. I hope this new album “Calling All Hearts” is everything we’ve been missing from her these past 2 or 3 years. I believe she’s back!!!! TrueClefMusic loves Keyshia!!!
