Mary J Blige “Mr Wrong” Official Video Featuring Drake!!!

I love the song but the video is a miss, some portions are really glamorous but some shots scream her age, all the shots with her busting those 90s dance moves in particular… She still makes good music but like Mariah, Toni and other older artist approaching the relic phase, new talent needs to be brought to there team. That dance sequence had NO business in this visual! It hurt her image and the strength of the song, looking like Keyshia Cole sickening mama lol! Much love MJB!

ps: I know this has been on YouTube for a couple weeks but I’m just now taking the time to watch it, I know I’m late!

Beautiful, surprising, refreshing and brilliant, not quit the mixtape that got him signed but it’s from the same place..

This album is a breath of fresh air, the best I’ve heard from him on his own in years!

Highlighted Tracks:

1. The Crew FT The Weekend

2. We’ll Be Fine FT Birdman

3. Make Me Proud FT Nicki Minaj

4. Over My Dead Body

5. Marvin’s Room

Those are the best tracks on the album, the ones I can’t stop spinning but “We’ll Be Fine” is my absolute favorite, one of his best ever!

He’s almost matchless on the pens but his honesty is unparalleled.. He holds nothing back in his writing, really speaking his whole heart, that paired with seamless production and asst from some of the industries brightest (Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, BirdMan, The Weekend) all make this album one of the best I’ve ever reviewed.

I doubted him, was really disappointed, underwhelmed with “Thank Me Later” but this is Drake, stripped, transparent, sincere…

TrueClefMusic Score Card:

Production: 5

Writing: 5

Vocals: 4

Cop his sh** immediately, Drizzy really went in this time!!!

Lil Wayne Throws Drake Out On His A** After Heated Argument!!!

Just when you thought the new dynasty called Young Moneywas unbreakable, it seems their run is over before it really got started.

Last night after  a  concert in University, PA,  Drake was kicked out of Young Money after a heated argument with Lil Wayneand Baby.

According to sources, tensions have been fueling for the past 2 months over unpaid royalties and Drake wanting to restructure his contract with Cash Money/Young Money.

Drake who was not on the bill but was apparently there to make a special appearance but  refused to take the stage and all hell broke loose.

According to sources, during the argument,  Drake screamed he was Young Money and if it wasn’t for him, the label would have died while Wayne was locked down.

Weezy apparently became irate  after the statement  and replied, “This the thanks I get… We don’t fuc*ing need you.”

Sources stated that a shoving match pursued before both securities stepped in.

No word yet on how this will turn out because of the paperwork but we’ve seen what happened with Young Buck as 50 shelved him despite having hot material proving sometimes its not about the money but the principal.

OHHHHH SH*********!!!!!!!!!!! I’d been hearing something was up between them for a while now but I didn’t expect this!

I can see both sides of the argument.. Drake was nothing before Lil Wayne put him on but money is money and unpaid royalties isn’t coo… How they gon have him come out for a show and not pay him???

The label may very well have suffered with Lil Wayne locked up and no Drake to carry the label. At the time, the jury was still out on Nicki Minaj. No one knew what to expect of the album and she would have been the ONLY employee behind the counter had Drake not been signed to Young Money…

It’s a hairy situation and there’s some b****a**ness on both parts but again, money is money and it changes people… When Drake first came out he would have done a free show for his mentor no questions asked but now that’s his charting and everyone wants to work with him he thinks it’s okay to raise his voice at superiors…

YESSSSS!!! Some European fans are in for a good show. J Cole is HUGELY underrated and Drake is one of the hottest emcees in modern music. They should have done this in the states too!

J Cole is still slightly unknown but hopefully RocNation takes the necessary steps to change that before his album drops..

Nicki Minaj & Drake Got MARRIED???

Did Drake and Nicki Minaj get married, or are they just using Twitter to faux-fulfill their fans’ dreams of a royal hip-hop coupling?

Young Money’s prince and princess tweeted each other on Friday afternoon (Aug. 27) about supposedly getting hitched, and their followers went into a re-tweeting frenzy when Minaj wrote, “Yes, its true. Drake and I tied the knot.”

Shortly afterward, Drake tweeted, “Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and dont stare at her too long. She’s finally mine. :)”

Asked whether Drake and Minaj really did get married, a source close to both artists would neither confirm or deny the tweets, but alluded to them being a joke.

This isn’t the first time Drake has expressed marital affection for Minaj. On the track “Miss Me” off his debut album “Thank Me Later,” the Toronto rapper rhymes, “I love Nicki Minaj, I told her, I’d admit it/I hope one day we get married just to say we f***ing did it/And girl, I’m f***ing serious with it if you with it/’Cause your verses turn me on, and your pants are mighty fitted.”

LOL, this is a publicity stunt, capital S.T.U.N.T!!! But guess what, IT WORKED LOL! This is just the additional buzz Nicki needs right now and Drake could use a little push too. Both of them came into the game with so much buzz but as time went on, it diminished and the quality of there work began to decay. “Pink Friday” is just a few months away and “Thank Me Later” is already on the shelves. Get into it!

Drake’s “Fancy” Was Intended For MJB???

Posted in ALBUMS, drake, HIPHOP, MARY J BLIGE, MUSIC, NEW ALBUMS, NEW ARTIST, NEW MUSIC, NEWS, POPULAR MUSIC, trueclefmusic with tags , , , , , on July 15, 2010 by JupiterDaTruth

Rap newcomer DRAKE was lucky to land his new single FANCY for his debut album THANK ME LATER – because producer SWIZZ BEATZ had previously offered it to MARY J. BLIGE.

Beatz admits Drake was never the first choice to record the track – it was initially intended for his own album, before he decided to play it for Blige.

The R&B superstar failed to wrap the song in time for her latest release Stronger With Each Tear, and the tune was subsequently passed on to Drake.

Beatz tells, “Fancy has been well-travelled. It started off as a Swizz record. Then I got Mary on it. It was supposed to be on her (Stronger With Each Tear album), but we missed the deadline. Then I pulled it back for my (upcoming) record.

“Then five o’clock one morning, on the phone speaking with Drake, he’s in a different time zone, we’re trying to figure out what he needs (for his album). He’s like, ‘Yo, I just need a record for the ladies.’ I’m on my computer playing him joints over the phone. Then I played him Fancy. I was like, ‘You want something like this?’ But I was playing it as a reference.”

However, Drake liked the track so much he convinced the producer to hand over the song there and then. Beatz says, “He was like, ‘That’s the record I need.’ I said, ‘OK, I’ll make you (one like) that.’ (Drake replied), ‘No. That’s the record I need.'”

But he insists he had no qualms about giving in to Drake’s demands: “I’m a producer first, so he can have the record. I’m still on it, it’s still love. He’s a heck of an artist, and I feel no ways but honoured (sic).”
