Keyshia Cole stopped by the 106 & Park studios to premiere the new video for “Take Me Away”. During her interview, the Oakland-bred songstress announced that she will be touring this summer with Marsha Ambrosius & R. Kelly for the “Love Letters” Tour. She also talked about her album “Calling All Hearts” and the new video as well.

I did some research and so far, there are two confirmed dates for the tour (and tickets for them are already on sale).

June 2 — Southaven, MS @ Desoto County Civic Center
June 3 — New Orleans, LA @ UNO Lakefront Arena

Keyshia Cole “Take Me Away” Official Video!!!

I like the video, she decided not to use her fiance this time, very good lol! The album isn’t at all what I needed it to be but this song is classic Keyshia, even if she and her producers bit Mariah Carey’s “Candy Bling” HARD!

Keyshia Cole “Take Me Away” New Single!!!

No official word yet but this is pretty much the only thing on her album that is radio friendly. I’m really disappointed in the album as a whole but no one can stay hot forever. We may never get another “Just Like You” but “Long Way Down” and “Take Me Away” are classic Keyshia tracks. She bit Mariah with that last selection though, it sounds just like “Candy Bling” off Mimi’s last studio album, “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel”…

Ms Keri, Keyshia & Foxx Each Shift 100K+!!!

YESSS!!!! Jamie came in with the highest debut of the 3, shifting 144,000 copies of his 4th album “Best Night of My Life”. I was worried because his first single hit radio just a few weeks ago and the video hasn’t been out long at all. Despite the quick promo Foxx debuts at #6!

Ms Keri moves 102, 000 copies and lands behind Rihanna at #11. Rihanna rounds off the top 10 with her monster hit “Loud”, which is selling like clearance cocaine all over the world! She moved another 111,000 copies last week!

Nicki Minaj comes in at #8 with 133,000 more units of “Pink Friday” downloaded and leaving stores for the holidays. Great album from a great new artist, love her to death. Love her to death!

Keyshia Cole stunned me, possessing 128,000 devoted fans to hit the stores and iTunes in her interest. I thought we were gonna have another Ciara situation. Her first single “Ain’t Thru” was sopme straight up bullsh**, didn’t even chart but her 2nd radio submission “Long Way Down” has been well received. Quick hands Keyshia lol.

All of these are good albums, go out and support your favorites if you haven’t already!!!

Keyshia Voices Regrets About “Ain’t Thru” As First Single!!!

After her lead single “I Ain’t Thru” featuring Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj failed to chart, R&B singer Keyshia Cole voiced her regrets for releasing the song. In a business where many artists are trying to put out their own single with label interference, Cole says she should have listened to her team on what song to put out.

“The label didn’t really want to drop the record because they knew that people wanted a more intense, soulful record from me about love and I really should have followed (their) direction,” Cole tells the Associated Press.

Nevertheless, Cole insisted she doesn’t regret it, saying “I wanted that to be a statement record. It’s like saying, ‘I’m doing me, you know. I don’t have no regrets for nothing that I’m doing.”

Cole’s second single “Long Way Down” quickly caught naysayer’s attention and so far she’s happy with the record’s results.

“People are gravitating more toward [the song],” she stated. “I just think that people expect me to be, you know, an artist that sings about just love. But I’m always growing as an artist and I have to feed my artistry.”

“Maybe there’s someone out there that can give you that sad sad song, because it’s not me,” Cole recently tells Singersroom.

Keyshia Cole’s new album ‘Calling All Hearts’ is in stores and online now.

Yeah, she should have listened. “Ain’t Thru” is probably the only track featuring Nicki in the past year that has failed to chart. It’s a horrible record, message or no. “Long Way Down” should have been her first radio submission. F*** up may have cost her the first week sells week she needs this album to have. I’ve heard the album and it’s pretty good, gonna post my review later on today 🙂

Keyshia Cole Interview & “Long Way Down” Live On Wendy Williams!!!

I lover her to death! “Long Way Down” is classic Keyshia, LOVE IT!!!! I’ll always be a fan of an artist that’s able to write from the heart like this.

2008’s “A Different Me” received mixed reviews and I for one thought it was much weaker then “Just Like You” which is one of the best r&b records of our time. I hope this new album “Calling All Hearts” is everything we’ve been missing from her these past 2 or 3 years. I believe she’s back!!!! TrueClefMusic loves Keyshia!!!
