YESSS!!! JT’s “Mirrors” sits comfortably at #2 via Billboard’s Hot 100 and his first single “Suit & Tie” just departed the top 20… The new single is “TunnelVision”, one of our favorite records from the album, though we were hoping “Spaceship Coupe” or “Strawberry BubbleGum” would be the next single promoted with a video…

JT kicks off his “Legends of The Summer” tour with Jay-Z 7.17.13 and a re-release of “The 20/20 Experience” featuring 10 more songs is expected this Fall!! #teamJT

JT’s “The 20/20 Experience” First Week Projections Swell To More The 900,000 Units!!!

jt 2013 2020

YESSSSSSSS!!!! JT could easily shift a million copies of “The 20/20 Experience” by Tuesday! He’s just released the music video for his second single, “Mirrors”, while “Suit&Tie” featuring JT currently sits in Billboard’s 10! The promo for this album has been flawless, surgical almost and JT is about to see a career high as a result of his hard work in the studio and on the promo trail!

Billboard reports the following:

Industry sources now forecast that Justin Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience” could sell between 850,000 and 900,000 by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, March 24.

All Eyes on Justin

To bring you up to speed: On May 11 — before the RCA Records album came out on March 19 — Billboard first reported that the album was headed for at least 500,000. Then, once the album did drop, its sales projection jumped to 750,000 on the 20th, 800,000 on the 21st and now 850,000 to 900,000 today (22).

Could “20/20” go over 900,000? It’s quite possible, if the set performs strongly over the weekend.

With its massive sales, “20/20” will instantly become the year’s top selling album. It will eclipse Mumford & Sons’ “Babel,” which has sold 631,000 in 2013 according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Timberlake will also score his second No. 1 and his best-ever sales week with “20/20.” His previous high came with the arrival of his last album, 2006’s “FutureSex/LoveSounds,” which bowed with 684,000 at No. 1.

To put Timberlake’s monster sales in perspective, let’s look at how infrequently an album sells this many copies in a single week.

Since SoundScan started tracking data in 1991, there have only been 31 instances where an album sold more than 850,000 copies in a single week. The all-time best-selling week was when Timberlake’s former group, ‘N Sync, saw its “No Strings Attached” album debut with 2.42 million at No. 1 on the April 8, 2000 Billboard 200 chart.

In the late ’00s and into the ’10s, enormous sales weeks became less frequent, as more people opted to stream albums or purchase digital tracks.

Thus, since 2005, there have just been eight weeks where an album did 850,000-plus. All seven of them did so in their debut frames: 50 Cent’s “The Massacre” (1.14 million; March 19, 2005), Kanye West’s “Late Registration” (860,000; Sept. 17, 2005), West’s “Graduation” (957,000; Sept. 29, 2007), Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” (1.01 million; June 28, 2008), Taylor Swift’s “Speak Now” (1.05 million; Nov. 13, 2010), Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” (1.11 million, June 11, 2011), Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter IV” (964,000; Sept. 17, 2011) and Swift’s “Red” (1.21 million; Nov. 10, 2012).

Sources say Apple’s iTunes Store is leading the way in terms of sales of “20/20,” with Target the No. 2-seller of the set. The latter was the only retailer with an exclusive version of the album. Target’s deluxe CD edition includes two bonus songs unavailable anywhere else: “Dress On” and “Body Count.”

“Initial sales for ‘The 20/20 Experience’ at Target are exceeding our expectations and put it in a position to be one of our best-selling albums in the last 10 years,” Anne Stanchfield, Target’s divisional merchandise manager of entertainment, tells Billboard.

“For the launch of the album, Target focused on bringing our guests more of what they love about Justin. Our two broadcast spots served up some surprises, and Monday night’s release party gave fans a chance to be a part of an intimate performance through an innovative partnership with Clear Channel and the CW.”

While iTunes is selling “20/20” for $10.99 — as is its main competitor, Amazon MP3 — Target is offering its exclusive version for $9.99. Trumping all three is both Walmart and Amazon.com, which are selling the standard physical CD for only $7.

YES! JT is planning for success and his album doesn’t even come out until Tuesday!! He’s going to re-release the project in November with 5 to 10 new songs, maybe a few remixes.

Billboard’s predicted a sales debut of at least 500k and we think JT’s good for it. He’s been promoting this album and performing everywhere, on top of announcing a North American tour with fellow icon, Jay-Z! It’s looking like 2013 is going to be all about Justin Timberlake!!

jt 2013

YESSSS!!! We love the new singe featuring Jay-Z, very progressive, very Timb!

It’s been more then 6 years since JT’s brilliant 2nd album, he’s finally back with more music for us! Our friends at RapUp report the following of the new project:

After debuting his new single “Suit & Tie” featuring Jay-Z on Sunday night, Justin Timberlake has announced more details on his forthcoming album.

In an open letter to his fans, he revealed that the follow-up to his 2006 groundbreaking album FutureSex/LoveSounds will be titled The 20/20 Experience and will arrive this year.

Unbeknownst to the public, he went into the studio last June and startedrecording what would become his third solo project. “It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career,” said the 31-year-old singer, who wasn’t expecting much to come of the sessions.

“What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way,” he wrote.

Read his full letter below.

An Open Letter to you (the fans):

I hope this gets to you the right way. It’s the only way I know to do it. Some people may criticize me for the last 3 days. But it was fun, right?? Right?!?! Besides, I’d rather speak directly to all of you. And, who can knock me for having a little bit of fun with it?

Well… No more teasing. Although, it was A LOT of fun. (Did I mention that I’m having fun with this?? Ha!)

*Makes a serious face*

So, here goes:

This year is an exciting one for me. As you probably have heard through the “grapevine,” I’m gearing up for a big 2013.
Back in June of last year, I quietly started working on what is now, my next journey with that thing I love called MUSIC.

The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.

What I came up with is something I couldn’t be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some newfound muses that I’ve discovered along the way.

I’m calling it “The 20/20 Experience,” and it’s coming out this year.

I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

That’s all I’m giving you for now… I know, I know! Again, with the teasing!!!

Get ready. This is going to be fun (well, at least it is for me).

TrueClefMusic 2011 New Album ForeCast!!!

Posted in trueclefmusic with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 22, 2011 by JupiterDaTruth

YES! It’s been a GREAT year in music thus far! Rihanna, Beyonce, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Adele and others have released groundbreaking projects definitive of there respective genres but there’s soooooo much more to come. Peep our official 2011 New Album Forecast below!!

Lil Wayne follows up 2008’s “The Carter” with the 4th installation, which will feature production from Bangladesh, Swizz Beatz and others. Also expect Nicki, Drake and other Young Money camp to make cameos throughout the playlist.

The albums been pushed back 2 or 3 times but is currently slated for a August 29th debut! Singles “6’7” and “John” made moves at urban radio but new single “How To Love” is a Billboard top 10 and will ensure a great first week sales stat for the all new Carter! This is perhaps the most highly anticipated album this year..

Mariah released her last album in 2009 and it was arguably her best via Def Jam. The album failed to garner the usually amazing Mimi sales stats but production wise, lyrically and vocally it’s a jewel, the best r&b presentation from any since 2005’s “The Emancipation of Mimi”..

This new, as yet to be titled album will be her last as a Def Jam artist. She will follow L.A Reid home to Sony music, which is now Tommy-less.. The success of this 2011 album will determine the amount of Mariah’s contract with Sony so expect her to go in! She could release “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” again and be the baddest b**** in music but it’ll take more then good music to stay relevant. “Memoirs” failed because of bad planning and sh***** a&r work, she can afford neither on this final Def Jam effort..

Expect Mimi’s new single to leak between Halloween and ThanksGiving, she’s got some baby weight to lose and some songs to right. I’m thinking the album will be on shelves just in time for Christmas!

Awwww yes Trey Songz…. I like this young mans music, some of it but it’s hard to respect a virtually new artist that can’t sing live… I like most of the singles but every time he touches a stage, ANYONE’S stage he embarrasses himself, it’s awful!!

What I can respect is his work ethic. He’s released 2 albums pretty much back to back in the past 2 years and shows no signs of slowing down. Despite the work ethic, Trey’s yet to go platinum, a fact that’s gotta be bothering Atlantic and eating him up! As popular and as everywhere as he is I’d expect him to be at least 3 to 4 million units sold but neither “Ready” of “Passion Pain & Pleasure” has shifted in excess of a million copies…

On this new album, which is yet to be titled, expect Trey to crossover, to appeal to the commercial market.. That’s the only way to increase sales.. The album should be ready and on shelves before New Years..

Her last album is a complete and total TRIUMPH, not just for her but for producer Timbaland, who was at the helm of the albums construction. “Loose” was crammed with hiphop/pop hits like “Maneater”, “Say It Right” and “Promiscuous Girl”!! I’m hoping they can come close to what will likely be her “Thriller” album, an album she’ll spend the rest of her career chasing.. It’s been a few years, the fans and the game are ready to hear what they’ve been working on!!

The album is titled “LifeStyle” and could be on iTunes by mid Fall 2011!

Monica first single “Anything To Find You” hit radio about a week ago and features Lil Kim, Missy and Rick Ross, it’s FIRE!! The new album is called “New Life” and will follow up 2010’s “Still Standing”, one of the best r&b presentations in recent memory.

We should have a video for “Anything” in a couple weeks and the album itself is due this October!! Missy is the chief producer on the project, should be EVERYTHING!!

The album is coming this Fall but no music has leaked yet and I’m not sure who she’s been in the studio with… She needs to capture the magic of “One Thing” a DarkChild production, I need her to do more then what she’s been doing these past couple years. She’s o much better then the material she’s been putting and would have been more successful in better hands. This will be her second Def Jam album and I need it to KNOCK!! If it tanks then she faces the possibility of being dropped… GoodLuck Am!

Ms Kelly is on a roll!!! The success of the Lil Wayne assisted “Motivation” and a FIRE performance at the 2011 BET Awards has the game ready for “Here I Am”, Kelly’s 3rd album!!

Her first album was a success all those years ago but it’s been a challenge ever since to stay relevant and stay in the game. She’s been dropped, doubted and written off but now all eyes are on her and most are feel’n Ms Kelly!

The album is due July 26th but most of the material has leaked. The feedback is positive, she’s going to have a great year and I’m sooooo proud of her!!!

Yes!!! I love his work, love his writing, love the productions he chooses! Justin Timberlake is a jewel!! The state of male r&b is bleak, with no singing a** n**** like Trey Songz dominating urban radio the game needs change!

Justin’s first and second albums are monumental testaments to r&b. He writes, he produces and is one of Timbaland’s greatest credits, a true artist born out of his influences!

I expect this 3rd album to follow suit and be every bit the r&b beast his past work has been. He’s been out of the game since 06, making movies, modeling and building an empire, hope my mans still got it!!

YES!!! I’m so ready for some new Missy, “The CookBook” was one of my favorite rap albums!

Missy’s back in the studio with Timbaland and Pharrell Williams, creating what is expected to be her best album to date!! Of all of the forecast this and Mariah’s have me the anxious!!

The album is expected to arrive around Thanksgiving and should hear a single by late September or early October!
