That’s not the only thing that erks me… She’s clinging to an image that most of us are pretty damn sick of.. I want her to grow up, come out the pink wig and clown clothes and look like a woman, a rapper, the mogul she is… 

Don’t think for a second that I’m not a fan, love most of her music but every artist has there corks…………..

TLC New Album, Tour & Movie In 2012!!!

It’s been 20 years since one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, TLC, blasted on the scene and commanded our attention with their undeniable spunk, flavor and message. This year also marks the 10th anniversary that surviving members Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas will mark the tragic loss of their friend and band mate Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes who, in 2002, was tragically killed in a car crash on this day (April 25) in Honduras.   

The year 2012 also brings goodies for TLC fans.  VH1 is preparing to begin production on a movie about the chart-topping group set to air later this year. “It’s going to be like a movie-of-the-week on VH1. You know how the Jackson Five have the movie The Jackson Five: An American Dream? It would be like that,” said Chilli. She continued elaborating on the casting for the film, “I want to go for someone unknown to play us. I really would prefer to reach out and find someone that resembles us and who really has the acting chops and who can dance.”

The veteran duo are planning an upcoming tour and a new record is in the works.  T-Boz spoke with Essence Magazine on the tour plan, “Yes, we’re going on tour; we are in negotiations now with LA. Reid, so we’ll see what happens. A lot of cool things are coming up.”

In regards to the upcoming album Chilli added, “Another TLC album? Yes, that’s for sure! We’ll have new music right after the movie drops. We have everybody that was there with us from the beginning on board. We’ll definitely have a tour; I just don’t know what we’ll call it yet.”

Chris Brown Pushes “Fortune” Album Back!!

After hearing Chris’s new single featuring Big Sean & Wiz Khalifa, I can’t help but get a lil excited about this album, even though I know it’s probably going to be just like “F.A.M.E”… I loved all the initial singles for “F.A.M.E” but the album was soaked in something else, something more familiar and expected of Chris then I had hoped……… Maybe he’ll show us something different with “Fortune”…

Chris Brown has issued a new release date for his forthcoming fifth studio album ‘Fortune.’ Previously scheduled for May 8, the R&B crooner announced on Twitter that the album will now arrive in July. 

“Team Breezy! The official album date for FORTUNE is July 3,2012!!!!!!!!!!!!” Brown writes on Twitter. 

Fortune serves as the sequel to the Grammy winner’s 2011 release ‘F.A.M.E.’. Led by the singles “Turn Up The Music,” “Sweet Love,” and “Till I Die” featuring Wiz Khalifa and Big Sean, Brown hopes ‘Fortune’ will inspire others to live life to the fullest. 

“I hope this album shows growth and positivity to all my fans and will inspire them to live life to the fullest!!,” Brown wrote in a previous tweet.

I like that she can sing but it’s strange looking at her, kinda like child or Rihanna and the late Britney Murphy or Rihanna and Gwen Stefani, she’s cute, can be so much more though! 

The song is cool but she’ll need to do way better then this if she wants to be the new Rihanna…….

Usher has just earned his twelfth no.1 charting single on the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs Chart. 
Thankful to fans who have supported “Climax,” Usher tweeted his gratitude Thursday. 

“Thank you to all my fans for helping me make history once again with Climax…This being my 12th #1 single…..#AMAZING,” Usher said via Twitter. 

Lifting 2-1 this week, Usher’s “Climax” officially ends Beyonce’s several week run atop the chart with “Love On Top” 

As reported earlier this week, “Climax” is also no.1 on the UK R&B/Urban Singles Chart. 

“Climax” leads Usher’s forthcoming album “Looking For Myself.” That effort is due for release June 12 via RCA. 

Maxwell 3 City U.S Tour Details & Dates!

I’ll be in ATL for his show, probably with some local buddies, never seen Max in concert before but I’ve watched a lot of live performances via YouTube and other outlets. I’m also a HUGE fan of his music, should be fun!

R&B soul singer Maxwell is set to perform his four platinum-selling albums in their entirety later this year. He has just announced his six-arena tour, with two-night stands in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Newark.

For the first night in each city, Maxwell will be performing cuts from his 1996 album ‘Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite’ and his 1998 classic ‘Embrya.’ On the second night of the stop, he will perform his 2001 LP ‘Now,’ and his most recent critically acclaimed album, ‘BLACKsummers’night.’ In addition, the veteran crooner will perform tracks that have never been performed live before at any of his previous shows.

Concert-goers will also have the chance to support Obama’s election campaign by purchasing Obama-Biden merchandise at the venues. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Obama for America.

J-Lo World Tour!!!

J-Lo is back but I don’t know if she’s back enough for a world tour… Her album didn’t shift millions, despite the success of her runaway hit single “On The Floor”, featuring PitBull. The diva’s 2nd single wasn’t as well received, though her “Dance Again” track, also featuring PitBull is KILLER and the controversial video is creating buzz!

I wish her all the best, TrueClefMusic and myself are in LOVE the iconic, legendary, Jennifer Lopez! She opened so many doors for woman in Hollywood!

If you were turned on by Jennifer Lopez’s latest music video for the single “Dance Again,” get ready for even more excitement. According to reports, the American Idol judge is planning a massive world tour with more than 60 dates, which will kick off in South America in June after Idol wraps.

“J.Lo and her team have blocked out more than a month of their schedules, beginning May 4, to start intense rehearsals, each day, at a sound stage in the Los Angeles area,” a source told Celebuzz. “This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers.” 

An announcement surrounding the tour could be released as early as this coming week.

According to our friends over at ThisIsRnB, Usher’s next offering will be “Let Me See” featuring Maybach music boss Rick Ross and produced by hitmaker Jim Jonsin. The track, “described as a sexy club thumper, complete with freaky, cheeky lyrics,” will server as the official second single from Usher’s highly-anticipated seventh studio album, ‘Looking For Myself,’ which will be released via RCA Records on June 12. The set will feature production and collaborations from several industry heavyweights including Justin Bieber, Salaam Remi, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Pharrell, Max Martin, Diplo and more.

Nicki Debuts at #1, Details!

Nicki Minaj scores her second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” debuts atop the list with 253,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That’s a slightly better-than-expected sales figure, as industry sources had suggested last week that the album was on course for a launch somewhere in the 215,000 to 235,000 range. 

It follows her debut studio set, “Pink Friday,” which climbed to No. 1 on the Feb. 19, 2011 chart, just as her “Super Bass” single was taking off. “Pink Friday” bowed at No. 2 on the chart dated Dec. 11, 2010 with 375,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. (Its big debut was fueled by Christmas shopping as the album bowed during Thanksgiving week.)

“Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” is not a reissue of the original “Pink Friday” album — despite its confusing title. It’s an all-new release, led by its official first single “Starships.” The track has already sailed to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

 The album that “Roman Reloaded” replaces, Madonna‘s “MDNA,” falls to No. 8 with 48,000 (down 86.7%) It debuted at No. 1 last week with 359,000. Its steep drop is the largest second-week percentage decline for a No. 1-debuting album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991. 

It surpasses the record set by Lady Gaga‘s “Born This Way,” when it fell 84.27% in its second week on the chart dated June 18, 2011. “Born This Way” bowed the previous frame at No. 1 with 1.11 million, and then sold 174,000 in its second week at the top of the chart.

Sharp decline from the first albums first week, which was held off my Kanye’s genius “Dark Twisted Fantasy” album over a year ago. To be honest, I haven’t spun the new sh** yet… Her transition to pop has a bitter taste in my mouth.. “Starships” could have been ANYONE’S song, Katy Perry, Britney Spears.. Those are her peers now but should too far from hiphop now for my taste… I’m going to go cop the album this weekend, along with new releases from Monica, Lana Del Rey and others.. stay tuned!

Christina Milian Readies Young Money Debut!!!

Christina Milian will incorporate a lot of things, some personal, into her forthcoming Young Money debut. Speaking of the album, fresh off NBC’s The Voice, Milian says it will be her “most meaningful” project to date. 

“I think this is going to be the most exciting, most meaningful album I’ve ever made. I’m in a place where I’ve gone through a lot of different things, in the public eye and privately,” says Milian. “At the same time I’m like finally in a place where I’m surrounded by love.” 

As far as the sound, Milian says she’s inspired by the love of her family and daughter, so the music will have a positive outcome. 

“It’s gonna be great. Everywhere from dance music to great R&B/pop songs,” says Milian describing the direction of the as-yet-untitled album. 

As widely reported, Christina Milian signed with Young Money earlier this year. She is currently appearing on NBC’s The Voice.

Hmmmm…. I haven’t liked anything I’ve heard from her since “Dip It Low”, her FIRST SINGLE! I’m sure Wayne is going to stitch her up with the best producers though. We can also expect features from him, Drake & Nicki to insure the albums buzz and overall success. Congrats Chris!

Lana Del Rey is BRILLIANT!!!

MY best friend posted the video for “Born To Die” on my Facebook 2 or 3 weeks ago, thought she was gorgeous but wasn’t all that impressed, despite her Stevie Nicks reminiscient vocals..but tonight I saw the video for “Blue Jeans” and was moved by more then her voice… The writing and the imagery touched me and now I’m in love! Peep the video for “Blue Jeans” below, one of the singles from her album, “Born To Die” on shelves NOW! Expect a review for it, Nicki and Monica’s new projects this weekend!

Drake Premieres “HYFR” Ft Lil Wayne Official Video!!!

Leave it toDrake to drop not one, but two videos in one night. After just premiering “Take Care’s” visual a couple of hours ago, here is the video for  “HYFR.” While “Take Care’s” video had an artsy vibe, “HYFR” kicks off with footage of Drizzy as a kid—sporting a mean Jew-fro—and a note that mentions that on October 24, 20011 “Aubrey ‘Drake’ Graham chose to get re-bar mitzvah’d as a re-commitment to the Jewish religion.”

The video is supposed to be this alleged “re-barmitvah.” All good, but seeing Baby and DJ Khaled listening intently while seated in a synagogue is inadvertent comedy.

New Adele Album In 2012!!!

Adele will not be taking an extended hiatus after all. In an interview with French radio network NRJ this week, the “Rolling In The Deep” singer confirmed the fact that fans can expect new music by year’s end. 

“New song probably coming out at the end of the year,” Adele told NRJ. “If I didn’t write songs, I’d be out next week with a new album. But because I write my own songs, I have to take time and live a little bit.” 

While she hopes to have a new song out by the end of the year, Adele has no plans on releasing a full album until 2013 or possibly 2014. 

“There was a good two years between my first and second albums so it’ll be the same this time,” she added.
