Beyonce “4” Full Album Review!!!

I thought she’d reached the mountain peak and there was no where left to climb… I was wrong…..

“4” IS BRILLIANT, GENIUS, TRIUMPHANT!!!

These are the songs that I can’t stop spinning but the whole album is seamlessly Beyonce, a Beyonce I thought didn’t exist anymore. She’s SANGING, growling and belting out those trumpet like vocals like it’s 2006 again! I was pleasantly surprised by how well written, well produced and performed this album is. It’s 3 times what 2008’s “I Am” was and EXACTLY what I thought that album should have been..

The songs sound sooooooo much better in sequence with each other. Even “Run The World (Girls)”. “4” is everything!

Beyonce has effortlessly did it on em. Rihanna’s “Loud” and Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” are bested. Beyonce matches Britney & Adele, who both made iconic testaments to there respective genres. Beyonce and Adele will likely do battle at the 2012 Grammy Awards for “Album of The Year”…

I’m concerned….

This is the first album she’s released that hasn’t been spearheaded by a runaway hit single… That said, “4” is going to be a tough sell to anyone that hasn’t downloaded it already. The Beyonce stans are going to come out in the hundreds of thousands to support there Queen and she will need them more then ever now.

Management has changed and B is consequently in the wrong hands, hands that don’t know what to do with such an artist. This would be the biggest album of her career if Matthew Knowles was still running sh**. Beyonce’s created a complete masterpiece but I fear what happened to Mariah back in 2009 with “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” is going to happen to her.

The project hasn’t been presented correctly and if the public doesn’t get a single they can connect with soon the project is going to render her lowest sells figures to date and likely be labeled a flop despite it’s brilliance.

Nevertheless, this is the Beyonce album I’ve been waiting for since 2007!

I can’t stop spinning “I Miss U”, made me cry the first time I heard it… “Start Over” is THUNDEROUS and honest, one of my favorite Beyonce songs EVER! 

“Rather Die Young” and “End of Time” make my list of favorites too!

Some would call me one of Beyonce’s harshest critics, even a “hater” but even I must bend my knees and kneel at the alter of her talent, musicianship and the sheer iconography of this album.. This is the emancipation of Beyonce, a triumphant return to form. COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Monica New Album “New Life” Due October 2011!!!

The success of Monica’s last album has J Records eager to get her back on the charts and radio. “Still Standing” is one of the best r&b presentations I’ve heard in a LONG time, a true match for albums released by her extremely talented label mates; Alicia Keys and Jazmine Sullivan!

The new album will feature production by Missy Elliott, Polow Da Don and others. She’s using much of the same team assembled to create her last album!

To be perfectly honest, I really wasn’t a huge Monica fan until “Still Standing”! I’m still pissed at Clive for not promoting “Here I Am” the right way, would have been the biggest song of her career!

Anyway, we should be hearing a new single in as little as a month, maybe less! Monica is BACK!

WOW! So last night Chris and Riri were DM’ing on tweeter and Chris mistakingly public messaged her “You get them pics I sent you???”, the message was IMMEDIATELY deleted but it was way in the AM hours so we can guess what kind of pictures these two would be exchanging….

Mariah Returning To Sony After 2011 Def Jam Album!!!

Doug Morris won’t officially take over at Sony Music until July 5th even though his contract says July 1st. This has to do with prior commitments for the July 4th vacation. Then, just as I told you on March 16th, L.A. Reid follows and joins Morris to run Epic Records. Right now Reid off with the “X Factor” crew judging contestants. 

Meanwhile, elsewhere at Sony, Peter Edge is expected to run the RCA end of things, while Tom Corson still presides at the company. Basically, Universal and Sony have swapped staffs, with RCA-J-Arista’s Larry Jackson having already moved to Interscope.

What fun! Artists will go back and forth. It’s expected that Mariah Carey, upon releasing her last album at Universal, will head back to Sony with Reid. There, she can rejoin her old catalog. Confusing? Sure. That’s why we love it!

Alicia Keys Working With Adele On 5th Album!!!

If Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz can help it, we may hear a possible duet on her forthcoming album with British Songstress Adele. Keys recently revealed that Swizz has been pushing for the collaboration, which she says is “definitely a possibility.” 

“I think he started that! Look at this guy he’s like a rumor starter!” Keys spills about her husband on the red carpet of her recent Keep A Child Alive Black Ball gala in London. But Swizz plans to carry out his ploy adding, “And I’m trying to finish it!” 

Nevertheless, Keys has high hopes about possibly working with Adele, dubbing the soul singer “special.” 

“Listen, Adele is one of our favorite artists and I think she’s very special and she has a beautiful style about her,” says Keys. “I think there’s definitely a possibility for us to do something together.” 

In related news, Adele continues her rain on the Billboard Hot 200 charts, snagging the No. 1 spot this week after losing out to Lady Gaga for the past two weeks. The “Rolling in the Deep” hitmaker moved another 114,000 copies of her new album ’21,’ which now sits around 2.2 million units sold in the U.S. This feat also marks Adele’s 10th non-consecutive week on the first position on the U.S. Album chart.

Nicki Minaj “SuperBass” Climbs To Billboard’s Top 10!!!

Nicki Minaj’s latest single “Super Bass” has landed her in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the very first time as a lead artist.

If you could not get the infectious “Super Bass” tune out of your head lately, it was because it has been playing on the radio waves almost as frequently as other Billobard top 10 Lady Gaga, The Black Eye Peas, and Katy Perry hits. Up from last weeks 11th spot, the “Pink Friday” track reached the #10 slot after 7 weeks on the Hot 100.

Having her very own spot on the mainstream charts is a huge milestone for Young Money’s first lady, who rose to fame by adding her unique, quirky verses to the tracks of artists like Mariah Carey, Usher, Ludacris, and Trey Songz. According to Billboard, her Songz feature “Bottoms Up” peaked at number 6 on the Hot 100, and was the first time the Harajuku Barbie ever appeared on the top 10.

Her first Billboard accomplishment was in 2010 when “Your Love” reached #1 on the Rap charts, making the Queens native the first female solo rapper to reach that spot since Missy Elliot in 2002. Her Drake collaboration “Moment 4 Life” has also topped the Rap charts.

Jennifer Lopez Not Returning To American Idol???

Looking in from the outside, many would believe being a judge on American Idol boasted her career to new heights but now Jennifer Lopez is unsure if she will come back for a second year. If the “On The Floor” hitmaker decides not to return, she would be walking away from a mega-million deal since she landed $12 million for the 10th season. 

“You know, this is the question of the hour. I don’t know, I don’t know,” Lopez said Tuesday in an interview with Scott Mills of the BBC. 

In addition to the show, Lopez jumped start several other ventures, which includes releasing and promoting an album, endorsement deals, clothing & fragrance lines and a new Latin talent show, which will premiere soon. 

“I had an amazing time doing it and I loved it but I have a lot of other things happening and it’s gonna come down to making a choice of really what I want to do for the next year,” Lopez said.

Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne & Others Confirmed For BET Award Performances!!!

The BET Awards has announced a list of several new feature performers including Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Kelly Rowland and Trey Songz. In addition, “Forget You” singer Cee-Lo Green has been selected for a special appearance during the show.

Beyonce will not actually be at the awards in person since she will be performing at Glastonbury in the UK on the same night. Her performance for the BET Awards will be televised live via satellite from the mega festival.

The recent recruited performers join earlier confirmed artist Drake, Lil’ Wayne, Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, and Jill Scott on June 26 at L.A.’s Shrine Auditorium. 

The highly talented list of nominees are lead by Chris Brown, who leads the pack with six nominations. The “Look At Me Now” hitmaker, who made an impressive comeback this year, earned nods in the Best Male R&B Artist, Best Collaboration (twice), Video of the Year, Best Actor and Viewers’ Choice categories.

Lady Gaga Only Shifts 170K Her Second Week (84% Decline)!!!

Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” continues to rule the Billboard 200 albums chart for a second week as the set shifts 174,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. That’s down a steep 84% from its historic 1,108,000 start last week. 

While it’s not unusual for albums that enter with mighty big sales frames to tumble hard in week number two, Gaga’s fall is amplified, courtesy of AmazonMP3.

As “Born This Way’s” first week was bolstered in a most-unusual way by likely hundreds of thousands of sales generated by AmazonMP3’s decision to sell the digital version of the set for 99-cents on two separate days, its second-week fall appears even greater than what we normally see for blockbuster sellers.

At the rate of Gaga’s decline, we could see Adele’s “21” (No. 2 this week, up one slot, with 121,000 – down 4%) return to the penthouse very soon.

This is even further proof that her “historic” first week numbers were only possibly with the .99 set Amazon deal……….. Gaga actually shifted about 470k her first week on the albums merits alone, which puts her right in line with Britney Spears, the true Queen of Pop!!!

I got a few emails asking where the TrueClefMusic review for “Born This Way” was… I was incredibly offended by “Judas” and as a result Lady Gaga’s work won’t be discussed here…unless of course it’s a story like this… #KanyeShrug
