So…. I gotta apologize to Ciara…

I trashed her latest work “Fantasy Ride” for the most part. I was initially very disappointed in what I heard the first couple of listens. However, I’ve had the CD about 2 weeks now and there are surprisingly a few songs I live for…

I had to post a slight retraction. This album is still not what it should have been but she did a descent job. Not every artist is highly listenable, especially when there voice isn’t the basis of there appeal. The following tracks make this album worth purchasing:

* Like A Surgeon

* Ciara To The Stage

* Tell Me What Your Name Is

These three in addition to the singles “Love Sex Magic” and “Never Ever” make for a pretty presentable album…

Ciara can get her career out of the ER by just following these instructions:

* Make “Ciara To The Stage” the next single from the album and deliver a hot video. That song needs a hott ass dance routine that will remind the public, the game and her fans alike who the better dancer is all day (Her or Beyonce)

* That song needs to be performed well EACH AND EVERY TIME. To insure that, she needs to go ahead and take some notes from Britney and start lipping it every time…

* That single should be followed by “Like A Surgeon” and the same steps above repeated.

If she does this she’ll be able to finish this albums promo with “Tell Me What The Name Is” (which should put her on with the white girls) and a U.S tour that doesn’t quite sell out but performs well enough in combo with the singles and album overall to get the media and the blogs off her a**…

She’ll be back, hot like she was never in intensive care… There is hope for Beyoncitus if you’ve got any talent and a lot of determination…

Ciara “Fantasy Ride” Album Review.

First off, let me say that i have nothing at all against Ciara. I’ve enjoyed her music in the past and despite the contents of this review one shouldn’t conclude that I’m picking on her or being unfair in anyway, just real, just true and that’s what this site is all about…

That said, this is a horrible follow up to her 2nd album “The Evolution”…

Highlights:

* Ciara to the Stage

* Love Sex Magic

* Tell me what your name is

If this is the album that the label okayed I have to ask how much a mess the version she was going to release last year was??? They made her add and subtract songs and re-record over the past 6 months and this is the best they could come up with??? This album is much weaker then anything I’ve ever heard from her. I like a few things about it but it’s honestly the most lackluster album trueclefmusic has reviewed to date…

Someone please tell me what she was going through with “High Price”!!! Why is she tryin to rock the opera tone voice?????? It didn’t work out well at all and is only compounded by the fact that she’s trying to talk her sh**. “Turntables” is another mess. 

I’m also disturbed by the fact that she didn’t seem to draw much from her collaborators… The Dream, Missy, Ludacris and Chris Brown add almost no value to this album, which is crazy because Luda and Missy always brings fire, The Dream rights #1’s all day and Chris usually doesn’t cut up like he did here… I don’t know…

I did like the tracks highlighted but “Tell me what your name is”sounds like something left over from Fergie’s debut or Britney’s current project. “I don’t remember” has nearly the same concept as Circus’ “Blur”… “Love Sex Magic” is my scrippa joint! Other pretty good listens include “Like a Surgeon” and the single “Never Ever”…

If she was sitting in front of me right now and asked my opinion she would get every word of this review… If she debuted with this back in 04 she would have been dropped from the label! That’s my opinion…

I figure she has one more chance to get it right. This album was an experiment but you don’t go trying new sh** when everyone is looking all over your box for the expiration and questioning your relevance… If she gets back to basics, hooks up with old collaborators and comes hard with this next album she’ll be fine but if not…. Beyonceitis will claim another career…

Oh one more thing: Why wasn’t “Go Girl” on the album??? Also what the hell was she going through with the album art???
