Beyonce Album This Year Afterall??

The boss diva was photographed shooting a new video for a song called “XO”… We’re careful to suggest an album, especially after NeYo made explicit and direct comments regarding a push back to 2014, citing Beyonce had no idea what direction she was going or wanted to go with whats been recorded…. Furthermore, “Bow Down” and “Grown Woman” reportedly weren’t singles in support of any album………….. “XO” could be the same. You just never know wtf with Beyonce but it’s a small possibility that she isn’t going to let Gaga and Katy Perry make all the money this year.. We sincerely hope that album has been cooked rite and we get it before 2013 shuts it’s eyes!!

Beyonce “Grown Woman” Official New Single???

Bey nor Sony BMG have made no official statement about Beyonce’s new single but that didn’t stop Billboard and a few other major news sources for reporting it as such.. If the song takes off, she and the label will stand by it but if it’s falls on it’s ass at radio then we may not even get a video..

As previously reported, Beyonce’s album is thought to be pushed back to 2014 but a single now raises questions and eyebrows. That on top of the pregnancy talk, if it’s true, if it’s false, if it’s a publicity stunt, who knows. What we do know is that we’d like to see some confidence from Beyonce’s promo campaign, some organization… This is all over the place!

As far as the song itself.. It’s okay but if it leads the new albums promo efforts, that would make it the weakest opening single from her yet….

Beyonce Under Fire For Photography Ban, Cancelled Belgium Show & Pregnancy Rumors!!

We haven’t approved of much of Beyonce’s business decisions in the last 3 years. It’s like she thinks of what her father would do in a given scenario and does the opposite. It’s unnerving! HipHopWired reports the following of her cancelled dates, photography ban and possible pregnancy:

Everyone remembers the fiasco involving Buzzfeed’s Beyoncé photos at the Super Bowl this year, ultimately launching a ban on all performance photos from the singer’s camp. Well, the media is striking back, explaining that this boycott could do more harm than good for the superstar Mrs. Carter.Poynter reports that the National Press Photographers Association penned a letter to Beyoncé’s publicity firm Schure Media Group. The letter, written by the NPPA’s attorney Mickey H. Osterreicher, urged the PR firm to reconsider this drastic measure, stating that “removing the ban will help, not harm, [Beyoncé’s] image in the long run.” Organizations like the Associated Press Media Editors Association, the Radio Television Digital News Association, the Society of Professional Journalists and the American Society of Media Photographers were all represented in the letter.

Poynter notes that during this time, media outlets are being forced to use older action shots of Bey on stage – the very flicks that she and her team were horrified by previously. It’s a Catch-22 whether not allowing any new photography will mean poorly angled photos.

Plus, nothing is more unattractive than a shaky iPhone picture taken at a 45-degree angle. Time to reconsider this mess, King Bey.

Also, the R&B and Pop diva recently cancelled a Belgium show under orders from her doctor, which will surely only lead to more Beyoncé is pregnant chatter.

Beyonce To Headline Made In America Festival 2013!!

Beyonce will be THE act at this year’s “Made In America Festival”, totally sponsered by Budweiser! Billboard reports the following:

Beyonce and Nine Inch Nails top an eclectic lineup for Budweiser’s second annual Made In America Festival, scheduled to return to Philadelphia for Labor Day weekend on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1. Jay-Z once again curated this year’s roster, but will not perform unlike last year’s headlining set. Tickets went on sale Wednesday to American Express cardmembers and fans of the Budweiser Made In America Facebook page exclusively through Tuesday April 16 at 10 p.m. ET. Public on sale begins Wednesday April 17.

Other performers announced today, via Made In America’s Spotify playlist, include Queens of the Stone Age, Deadmau5, Phoenix, Calvin Harris, Empire of the Sun, Imagine Dragons, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Miguel, Public Enemy, Nero, 2 Chainz, Gaslight Anthem, A$AP Rocky, Walk The Moon, Solange, Feed Me, Porter Robinson, Wolfgang Gartner, Emeli Sande, Haim, Schoolboy Q, Ab Soul, GTA, Robert DeLong, Red Light, Rudimental, Aluna George, Jay Rock, Jessie Rose and TJR.

“The point of having that diversity in our music lineup we’re trying to expose the people to different types of music,” says Paul Chibe, Budweiser’s VP of marketing. “Much like last year, where if you never saw Pearl Jam but you’re a Jay-Z fan, we want fans of Beyonce or Calvin Harris or Wiz Khalifa to have the opportunity to see Nine Inch Nails or stuff they might have seen for awhile like Public Enemy. That eclectic mix creates an opportunity for us to really show the impact of music and culture.”

The inaugural Made In America was a notable success, having grossed $5 million in ticket sales and attracting nearly 80,000 people, according to Billboard Boxscore. This year’s festival will also once again benefit the United Ways of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Lancaster County, PA. The festival will also be produced for a second year by ad agency Translation, in which Jay-Z is a partner.

The Perfect Beyonce Album!!

The recipe for the perfect Beyonce album is as follows:

1. She’s needs to find the dude that wrote “Halo”, “Already Gone” and “Bleeding Love”. She needs to record 2 or 3 songs with him for the album. These are the grammy tracks, the strong ballads that kill commercially and ppl will ultimately identify the album with!

2. She needs to link up with Frank Ocean and create 1 or 2 more “I Miss You”‘s for the fans!

3. She needs to get in the studio with Swizz Beatz and Bangladesh, bring the FIRE on the urban front, ferocious ass tracks like “Lost Your Mind”, “Diva”, “Get Me Bodied” and “upgrade you”!! The tracks that were ending careers 6 or 7 years ago….

4. Lastly she needs to record 2 to 3 tracks with Max Martin, Pharrell or Stargate and put Rihanna, Gaga, Katy Perry and Britney in there places.

We’ll bow down and so will every one else when she gives us reason to.. Endorsements and brunch with The Obamas have little to do with her career in music… She needs to find herself or find someone with some vision that can bring her back, make her the career ending b**** she was 2003 – 2007……….

Beyonce Tentative “Mrs Carter Show” Album Track List Surfaces!!

We saw this a few days ago but didn’t tell you because some of the information is wrong or at least contradicts previous details regarding Beyonce’s new album… “Roller Coaster” is suppose to feature Miguel, not JT and as far as we know; the JT and Beyonce track only appears on JT’s album “The 20/20 Experience” coming March 19th!

The presence of Rihanna, Neyo and others on the collaboration list also leaves us SKEPTICAL!

 

Beyonce WTF!!

Since Beyonce announced she would be performing for the 2013 Superbowl Halftime show, her buzz has been through the f**** roof! She’s signed multi-million dollar contracts with both Pepsi and H&M on top of releasing a critically acclaimed documentary via HBO while singles “Love On Top” and “Dance For You” from her album “4” continue to dominate urban radio.. We almost forgot about the eye popping popularity of GQ’s February issue, which Beyonce graces… All this buzz, all this press and we haven’t heard not one new song?? WTF!!!

We’ve always been persecuted for not exactly being Beyonce fans but all the criticism, all the critiquing comes from a very good, very honest place… Bey should have dropped her new single a few days before the Superbowl performance, should have performed it. We should be watching a new video right now but instead she’s used all this buzz to sell tickets to her new show, “The Mrs Carter Show”….. It’s a complete waste of promo dollars!!

She needs to link up with someone that knows how to do what Matthew Knowles did or the consequences could be overwhelming!!

Beyonce’s “Life Is But A Dream” Brings In 1.8 Million Viewers For HBO!!

Billboard reports the following:

Beyonce proved a huge draw for HBO on Saturday night.

The intimate documentary about the singer, “Beyonce: Life is But a Dream,” pulled 1.8 million viewers during its inaugural outing at 9 p.m. ET. It’s the largest audience for a HBO doc since Nielsen revised its method of measuring viewership in 2004.

The only other documentary to approach Beyonce’s haul was previous record-setter “When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts.” The Spike Lee miniseries about the devastation caused to New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina earned 1.7 million viewers in 2006.

“Life Is But a Dream'”s handsome haul pulled three times the ratings of recent first-runs for HBO’s Sunday series “Girls.”

We were able to catch the show via YouTube but HBO has since had it removed so you’ll have to get advanced cable to watch it or wait for the inevitable DVD/BluRay release..

We loved it but think it could have been so much more then this and ultimately, it’s overshadowed by Madonna’s 2012 performance…

We also were really disappointed that there was no new music…………

Beyonce’s “The Mrs Carter Show” New Album & Tour!!

“The Mrs Carter Show” is the title of her new World Tour but the name and the imagery could hint at the direction of the album and it’s own name… French royalty is what she’s giving!

B’s also expected to make a special announcement following her Superbowl Halftime Show tomorrow evening! It’s official B season!!

Beyonce & HBO To Release Documentary About Her Life, Music, Career, Family & Business!! (TRAILER)

YESSSSS!!! Beyonce is already on the promo trail for her new album!! The release date of the documentary, 2.16.12 will line right up with her expectedly EPIC Superbowl half time show! This album is COMING, definitely in February!

As Singersroom previously reported, International superstar Beyonce has teamed with HBO for an intimate feature-length documentary film, which will give the world a better look into the hitmaker’s personal life. In the below “raw, real, and revealed” preview, the multi-Grammy winner showcases a collage of private videos, which covers her entire life timeline.

“I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself,” Beyonce states in the clip. “If I’m scared…Be scared…Allow it…Release it.”

Executive produced by Beyonce, the film will cover Beyonce’s entire life timeline, including her childhood in Houston, family, career challenges, the physical and emotional demands she goes through in the studio, the business woman, being a wife and mother, and much more.

The intimate documentary film will premiere on February 16th.

Beyonce 2013 Album Update!!

YES! New music from King B is right around the corner!

We expect the release and mass promo of her 5th studio effort to coincide with her February halftime show performance, which means we could start hearing new music by the first of the year.

One thing’s for sure, Beyonce planning on really bringing the f**** house down with this album. “4” was brilliant but failed to meet traditional Beyonce sales expectations and was ignored by the Grammy Academy. It’s a jewel, one of her best and some of the best vocals we’ve heard since Mariah’s emancipation more then 6 years ago!

The commercial fans that “I Am” brought her were also neglected on this last album. Expect more “Halo’s” and “Irreplaceable’s” but better written better produced then the commercial tracks found on “4”.

Beyonce Squabbling With Label!!

Under the tutelage of Matthew Knowles, Beyoncé reached an almost unparalleled level of creative control over her music at Sony but with the failures of “4” all being laid at her feet, the label is second guessing, especially in the absence of the man who made her..

The label has presented her with a list of producers, song writers and collaborators they’d like her to work with. It wasn’t mandatory but a STRONG suggestion… Nevertheless, B insist on running the show, taping Bangladesh, Swizz Beatz and other urban music producers for her 5th album.

The label wants her to scale back the vocals and lean more towards the Adult Contemporary sound of “I Am” but B wants to sing, eager to prove she’s still top b****..

Sony is also pushing collaboration with Nicki Minaj and RocNation label mate, Rihanna, foreseeing the TITANIC buzz it would create for the project but Beyonce is resistant for whatever reason o.o

Beyonce 2012 Album Details!!!

Beyonce is reportedly scheduled to return to the studio this spring to begin recording her 5th studio album which will be a follow up to 2011’s “4”, an epic but ill=promoted masterpiece that went nearly un-noticed by the game entirely..

Beyonce and RocNation are anxious to prove she can stand on her own two feet without her father, former manager Matthew Knowles, more importantly, the label and her fans need to see this..

B will also face a creative battle with Sony this year given the slow sales of her 4th studio effort. Some execs didn’t approve of her switch from adult contemporary pop back to her r&b roots. The sales differentials between “I Am” and “4” are strong enough for the label to force her to cut back on harder productions and hiphop elements on this project. “I Am” crossed her over and the big wigs want to see the money 2008 through 2010 brought. That said, who knows what this album is going to sound and look like, who knows who she’s going to work with.

One thing is sure, it needs to be a hit that matches the commercial successes of “I Am”. B hasn’t had a hit single in almost 4 years and industry analysis, myself included are starting to question the bases of this crown we gave her.. Other artist have achieved so much more in the past 2 years, namely, colleague and management label mate, Rihanna.

Rihanna has managed to outgun Beyonce with less talent, vocal prowess, respect and capital. She’s riding her 11th #1 single as I post this. “We Found Love” charts it’s 10th week at Billboard’s pinnacle and her “Talk That Talk” album reached platinum status in just 3 weeks. Please believe the label is presenting her with all these facts..

As of right now the album will likely see a October or November release, meaning we should hear new music in August or early September. The pressures never been on like this, good luck B!

WOW! The b**** finally went in! Lol, I’ve been impatiently waiting! I love Beyonce but I can only take her when it’s 100. All her other videos haven’t really been thought out from this albums promo campaign, except “Run The World” of course, LOVE THAT VIDEO TOO!

This video brings me back though, it’s like “Naughty Girl” and “Suga Mama” all in one, love the song, love the visual, give it to us B!

Beyonce “Love On Top” Official Video!!!

I didn’t like this song AT ALL when I spun the album, didn’t care for it until she performed it a couple months ago at the VMAS, after that it’s like whenever I hear it I can’t stop singing it to myself #UGH lol

Apparently the rest of the country is experiencing a similar phenomenon because “Love On Top” is one of “4’s” highest charters, entered the top 20s after the MTV performance!

With the premiere of the video it’ll like become the break out hit Beyonce needed 4 or 5 months ago when “4” hit shelves.. Love the song now and love the video even more!!

I like the video but I LOVE the song! It feels like something that would have gotten leaked from “B’Day”, didn’t make the original album but ended up on the re-release…

“4” is arguably her best work to date but poor promo and management changes have severely injured the public’s image of this album, despite the media’s attempts to make it look like a hit record…

Beyonce Debuts At #20, Rihanna Chillan At #11 and Nicki Re-Enters At #64!!!

These are the most powerful women in urban music right now!

This is Beyonce’s best debut from “4”, the triumphant but ill-promoted follow up to 2008’s “I Am Sasha Fierce”. B performed the track a few weeks ago at the VMAs and I personally haven’t been able to get the sh** out of my head since… It’s one of my least favorite tracks on the album but a testament to her abilities as a singer and just a small piece of the vocal cocaine that is “4”, COP IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Nicki & Rihanna team up for “Pink Friday’s” latest single, which re-entered the chart at #64 last week! It’s one of my favorite songs off the album and I love the video! I’m sure this song, given the Rihanna feature will see Billboard’s top 10 and maybe even the pinnacle!

“Loud” latest single, “Cheers” sits happy at #11 and will likely enter the top 10 this week! I didn’t like this song at all but the video has changed the way I hear it. Rihanna may score her 4th chart topper from the 4x platinum “Loud”!!!

All 3 of these ladies WENT IN on there respective projects, great albums in there one regards. I’m very proud of them!
